Circle Cutter Ideal for Drywall up to 16" in Diameter, STHT1-05878

Great item, very sturdy and so easy to use.

I use this for something very different to what most people would use it for. As a potter, I use this to make large circles from clay. Kind of like a giant compass, and it works very well for that. The blade is sharp, it’s easy to use and resize, and is accurate on soft clay. However, I can’t commenton what would it be like for its intended use, but for what I wanted it for, it was perfect

Does what is says. Used for marking out circles in soft materials. Would get 5 starts if it had a pencil holder adjacent to the cutter so that hard materials could be marked for dimensions.

Amazing tool, it marks the holes very well.but not the greatest at cuting them. The head has broken but still able to use it.

I nearly didn't buy this because of the negative reviews but it looked ok in the picture so couldn't see what the problem could be. For the money this is a more than adequate tool and the only thing that could be improved is, perhaps, a deeper cutting wheel. I think the negative reviews were probably through incorrect use. The centre pivot tightens onto the bar via the large handle which screws down tightly, not surprisingly, in a clockwise direction, and this holds very firmly . You must then place the pivot pin in the correct location and rotate the wheel arm in an ANTI clockwise direction. If you rotate it clockwise, this naturally unscrews the the handle and reduces the clamping on the bar rendering the tool useless so is an operator fault and not a problem with the tool.
