Lovely alternative to coffee
I remember that my grandmother used to drink dandelion coffee years ago, so when I wanted an alternative to coffee I decided to try this. I drink far too much coffee and this has helped me cut down, so now I sleep better and feel less jittery. It is easy to make in a cafetiere and you can refill it a few times before the flavour is lost, so a little goes a long way. It doesn't actually taste like coffee but it has a lovely flavour in its own right, and although it is quite expensive it is worth giving it a try.

Not bad.. fair price..
Somewhat more roasted than I would have liked. i.e. lihtly roasted. I mean, it appeared lightly roasted in the image but is more heavily roasted. Other than this and the fact it is Not organic, it's good enough for the purpose.

Life saviour
Been a life saviour as I can't have any caffeine and, yes including de-caffeinated tea or coffee due to palpitations from perimenopause symptoms. It's a great substitute and does take like coffee.

Shocked how much it tastes like coffee!
It's really surprising how much it tastes like real coffee! It's actually a bit sweeter too, so it's very pleasant to drink. Just an FYI to anyone that the chunks are quite big (.5cm) so you'll need a sieve or a teapot.

burnt?
I wish there was a soluble one available, its like everyone has stopped making it. I don't know if I had a bad batch but it really tasted like the whole lot had been burnt! Anyhow, I'll keep trying, maybe use that method the other reviewer tried to make it mellow out and counteract the bitterness. I don't think it should taste like this tbh.

Better than coffee
I’ve been buying this roasted dandelion root for a few years now and absolutely love it and unlike coffee it’s good for me. After I was diagnosed with a heart disorder I looked for a substitute to coffee which I was drinking masses of and found dandelion root which as well as tasting good has a number of positive medical properties. I take it and grind it with my old coffee grinder and make it in my cafeteria. I use about a teaspoon per cup and add a little chicory root also ground to a powder to bulk it out a bit and make it go further. Delicious!
