Brilliant and easy to use Humidity Controller
I got a new gadget the other day to control one of my de-humidifiers. Inkbird IHC-200UK Humidity Controller. Easy to use, just plug into your devices and set the target humidity, then it works, NO WIRING. Can switch on or off. I have two dehumidifiers and 3 extractor fans so I can remove air from the shed with the fans and rreduce humidity that way as well. the Inkbird It is a brilliant unit but not quite compatible to my dehumidifier. It will analise the air in the shed then switch on and off equipment as required. My unit has an electronic on off switch so when it gets switched off it needed to manually be pressed to go on again - hence the Inkbird unit will no switch it on and off automatically. So I decided that i'll control the extractor fans instead. I've always played with these switching manually so an automatic switching an and off will be great. I set this all up and its really working well - tried all sorts of different settings and switches off and on really well. This unit will greatly help out when you have direct switching de-humidifiers and or extractor fans - well worth the price.

It's very good - turns on dehumidifier at the set humidity level
It's very good - turns on dehumidifier at the set humidity level, then my dehum dries the air, then this switch turns it off again. However, I to set it properly, I needed to know that 50% humidity shown by their gauge actually equals 60% - when tested by an expensive humidity tester my builder friend lent me. So I advise you check the humidity level to get a benchmark before taking the reading of this gadget as gospel. I have this, a cheap gauge, and the friend's professional meter. This was showing ten percentage points under the actual, the cheap meter was 5 points under, presumably, the expensive meter was correct. Just saying - benchmark it. :) But in terms of turning the electricity on and off this works perfectly and it's a professional seeming bit of kit.

Works great
After finding out that my previous inkbird was faulty I've decided to buy another inkbird for my set up. They are easy to use and very accurate, they can break easy after a wile. My previous one lasted me nearly two years, the problem I had it stopped switching off between controls and fluid my setup with 100% humidity. But the one I just purchased is doing a great job. Love this inkbirds

It works
Nice piece of kit, but I’d say the hydro meter is a little off, still works well though if you factor it this in!

It's suggested that you buy two
I bought one of these controllers, having bought one before and found that one to be working, so I needed an additional one for another project. It arrived on Saturday and so I plugged it in to try it out. It seemed to be working correctly but after removing the humidifying mechanism, I found that even after two days, the readings were showing far higher than I'd expect. Initially it was stuck over 90%. It even suggested that my living room was at over 80% humidity. As I couldn't get these readings to lower, I contacted Inkbird support to report the problem. They suggested that I "dry the wire and probe with a blower(sic), test the air humidity, check to see if the readings are right". This prompted me to ask the question 'If I have to dry the wire and probe with a blower, what’s the basis for assuming its accuracy? At what point in the future will I know that the readings are inaccurate without verifying it with another device?' They responded with "Perhaps you can compare it to other hygrometer for testing". So there you have it: They admit that their product is in fact so unreliable that you need another device to test its accuracy (which could be out by a massive amount) and you'll be expected to know when to test it, too. Somehow, I'm supposed to know when it's going wrong so that I can test it, otherwise it'll destroy my projects.
