Beware...long review
Growing up in the 90's, I can remember that if you had anything with the rca logo on it, you had a pretty good product. That being said, when I saw this new rca phone, I had to try it. First things first: description says for use with T-Mobile only. I can confirm this is not entirely accurate because I am using this device with red pocket service and with a red pocket at&t sim card. You do however have to go in settings and set the correct apn settings manually for internet and data to work. You can find apn info for red pocket by googling "red pocket apn settings".Performance: I give it a 7 out of 10. The 4gb of ram is enough for this device to perform decently, but not excellent. There is occasional stutter and lag when running more heavy apps. I have noticed frequent app crashes with the Instagram app.Calls: at max volume, it's loud enough to hear the other person on other end, not Samsung quality loud, but loud enough to get the job done. Remember, this device costs 90 bucks.Display: it's a 720p display that looks ok. It's not an AMOLED display with nice saturated colors that pop, but I will add that this display looks significantly better than my TCL 30xl that costs 50 bucks more. Brightness is ok, but not great. I keep it at about 70% brightness for comfortable viewing. This device does advertise a "brightness boost" feature on the box, but I have yet to notice it.Cameras: it's a 16mp shooter that's laughably bad. Pictures do not come out clear at all and there is very noticeable graininess in the quality of these photos. If you don't care about great picture taking, you will be fine with this device, otherwise, this device is not for you.Fingerprint sensor: it's awful. It's on the side of the device. I get a successful read about 2 out of 10 attempts.Overall: I would say if you grew up in the 90's and loved the rca brand, you will find enjoyment with this device just in that regard. But that's about as far as it goes. You're getting pretty bad cameras, performance is ok at best, display is ok at best. For 90 bucks, I would recommend this device for basic smartphone functions. I would not recommend for this device for great picture taking, or lightning fast performance. Overall, for 90 bucks, I wouldn't say this device is better than the moto g pure, but I'd give this one a 6 out of 10, and the moto g pure a 9 out of 10 in this price range.

Best Phone ever Bought
Had an array of phones, Sony, Samsung, etc and this is best phone ever had. Cant believe got for the this price. The screen size of 6.5 is great. Used a storage card, download apps, functional speed all good. The startup speed is comparable to other phones, and holds charges really well. Takes a little bit longer to charge up...but only by couple mins. For this price point, is awesome. Had this phone for 2 months. I will never buy another phone.

Pretty Good
This phone started working satisfactorily right out of the box. It was a nice touch that the phone came with its own case and screen protector; and that the battery was fully charged. The phone has most of the right features, with reasonable sophistication. The screen experience is pleasant in spite of the relatively-low resolution of 720x1560. The processing speed, and the WiFi speed, are not blazing, but acceptable. The audio/video recording/playback are very good. With moderate use, the battery lasts two days. The fingerprint reader is often unresponsive. The seller is almost impossible to reach, and that diminishes the value of the one-year warranty. All told, this is not a premier phone, but it is a good utility phone.

Great buy for budget phone
I needed a new phone for an everyday driver. RCA is a known brand, that I trust. The price was right so I bought the Reno Max 6.5. Big screen, lovely colors. I primarily use this phone for talk text YouTube and shopping. Gaming is a little laggy. Especially for power hunger apps. Basic gaming apps run smooth. Internet is a touch slower than my old S9 but totally usable. I'm very happy with my purchase. I will upgrade to a newer RCA once thats on the market. For now the Reno Max is my go to.

Non-existant customer service, non-working product support website
I purchased this phone new in November, 2022. The phone came with no manufacturers documentation. There was a website listed for support, but the website has no information. I activated my phone into my carrier's network and it worked fine for about 1 year. Then it began rebooting itself every 30 seconds. It was impossible to make a call or text. After much searching, I found a number for RCA Smartphone technical support. I was on hold 20 minutes after which a young lady with very poor English explained to me that they have no information on the Reno Max smartphone and that it was not their product, and then said goodbye. Do not waste any money on this company's phones. This is the first time in 20 years of buying on Amazon that I received a product with absolutely no support from the seller. Amazon has no link to the seller as well.
