Amazing
Connects and works well, though commands are a bit slower than wired connection. Go for it if u wanna protect your mobiles battery from all time charging if it was connected with wire

This allows you to convert a car that only has Apple CarPlay to Android Auto. It requires the unit to be connected to the car via a USB A or C, but it then operates wireless with the phone. The set up was straight forward and only takes 2-3 minutes. It takes 15-20 seconds to connect to the phone and appear on the CarPlay unit each time you enter the car, but then works with no noticeable lag. It can also be used with an iPhone to convert a wired CarPlay unit into a wireless system. It will only work with a car that has Apple CarPlay.

Please connect U2-X Pro to your car, open the WIFI page of your phone, and connect the WIFI of your device "AUTO-XXXX". 2. I successfully used this on a 2018 Toyota Camry. I had previously flashed the factory radio to add CarPlay, this plug and play solution added wireless android auto when I had given up hope for a cheap android solution. Replacing with a newer head unit would have cost a couple of thousand and an aftermarket head unit had a variety of other issues. This worked PERFECTLY. There is certainly a small connection delay increase above a native android auto head unit, the added delay is just not that much compared to how long android auto takes to connect anyway. The system is responsive and integrates perfectly with the factory head unit. For example when listening to the built in FM tuner, navigation audio interrupts correctly as well as when you start streaming audio it automatically switches from the radio as you would expect. The phone button on the dash even switches to the phone screen on android auto. The only weird limitation I could find is the steering wheel talk button activates the radio's voice recognition instead of google, but the other steering wheel buttons work as expected. I was very impressed with the quality of the Toyota's screen, the built in menus just don't take advantage like android auto does. My wife and I both have our android phones paired, it connects to both without too much fuss. Sometimes you have to choose which device to connect to, I think that happens when it can't find the last device connected but I'm still learning its exact behavior. When both phones are in the car it does favor the last device connected, I haven't found an intuitive way to switch yet other than temporarily disabling wifi/bluetooth on the connected phone. Maybe that is what the physical button on the device is for? Now Wireless Android Auto has its own quirks, I have the same random issues with other vehicles that have native support, so I wouldn't fault this device for any of those issues. It is every bit as reliable as any other android auto, honestly probably better than some other car systems.

I purchased the U2-X Pro solely to get full screen andriod auto on my Mercedes E Class Coupe as the normal connection shows an android auto logo which takes up about 30% of the screen. This box fools the car into thinking it is connecting via apple carplay which works full screen on the Mercedes. The Ottocast U2-X Pro seems to be the only soluton out there which can do this. Upon connecting the U2-X Pro I managed to get full screen andriod auto which looks so much better however the controls did not work correctly. All you could do was navigate up and down and that was all. I had read this might happen and a firmware update would solve the issue. After a few hours of trying to get the firmware to update I gave up and contacted support. I got a reply 2 days later and firmware update which I could flash via a usb stick. After the firmware flash I could connect and control andriod auto. However up and down and was left/right and vice versa. I could get used to this if it meant I could use my andriod phone full screen, so I persisted and gave it a go. After 10 mins I made a phone call and the person on the other end could not hear me. I called another number and got the same result, I disconnected the Ottocast box and the person could hear me. For what ever reason the U2-X Pro was not passing through my audio. I have read this wireless andriod auto/carplay box could be hit and miss and for me it was a miss and I have returned the unit for a refund. After seeing how nice the full screen user interface was I ended up buying an iphone and I have paired it with a MSXTTLY Wireless CarPlay Adapter, U2C-AIR which so far has worked really well.
