I use these sponges for face painting. I have found that they are very effective for small faces and butterfly wing shapes amongst other things. The most important thing is they actually come clean and don’t show any stains after using and washing (Not even the white face paint sticks to these black ones after washing!). The round yellow natural sponges stain pretty badly making them appear “dirty” even after washing. These are synthetic so the paint comes out of them pretty easily and they hold up well in the washing machine (I wash them in a lingerie bag in the washing machine). I am planning to gradually replace all my yellow round/ half moon sponges with this type of sponge in black.

The product is as described. Shipping was fast, the sponges puff up to full soze when tou ipen the package after a few min. Good size and quality for face painting. Good value for the money.

I love these sponges. I had started painting bottles and hated that brushes left lines. Tried these and I’m hooked. My chalk painting ends up flawless now. I use them with paint, Mod Podge, Varnish, whatever.

So far so good, they are a bit absorbent though so they will take up some extra product but overall happy with my purchase. Will be buying again!

Like many reviews say, these come in a vacuumed bag and they are very deformed but when you open them up and let them sit for a couple hours, the firm into their teardrop shapes, perfectly. Just don't plan to use them immediately or of the package. Pictures taken same day of opening.

Bought for face painting but honestly they could be used to makeup or other small artistic projects.

I love these and use them at every face painting event I have.
