Barbell Squat Pad

brought for mrs t9 help her when squatting. They are as thick as they look in the picture and when using it it is vwry comfy. You dont feel the bar. Fornthose that hate the bar print on thir back or the way it feels. Th8s will help you focus on just thw squat or whichever excercise you are aiming to do. The 2 strapd that come with it are a defo good idea as they keep it on place to make sure it doesnt fall off or spin round as it would. Overall an excellent product that can be trusted to support you when doing the excercise.

Great bit of kit; make squatting with heavy weights much more comfortable and aids when placing the bar on shoulders due to the non-slip design. Also great for chest exercises; I can comfortably rest the bar on my thighs, chest etc when lay down. Straps are a must, I've seen a couple reviews with regards to broken straps and I'll admit an additional pair of straps and a carry bag (such as seen with the Edealing guard) would be a nice addition. However overall I think the quality of this guard is better.

Nice quality item but I did not find that it fitted a 1” bar well. I have a 1” spinlock York bar and even with the foam fully closed, it slid freely up and down the bar and didn’t grip it as I would have liked (as it’s fully closed, the tensioning straps didn’t resolve this). To fix this I used a serrated knife to cut out an approx 1” wedge from the foam allowing it to tighten further. Combining this with the straps did enable it to grip the 1” bar without an issue. I’m sure if you’re using a standard Olympic bar you won’t need to do this as this is clearly what it’s been designed to fit....

Works really well

I use this for barbell hip thrusts and it does the job perfectly. I forgot my pad one week and had to use one of the gyms own pads and it was horrendous in comparison. Sturdy and protective, it withstands me hip thrusting three times per week with weight up to 180kg. I get zero discomfort when using this and will always repurchase when wear and tear gets too much.

Initially I was a bit dubious about the depression in the centre of the pad but this really does help to stabilise the bar when it's on your shoulders. So far, the foam has always sprung back after being compressed and the pad is really comfortable in use, enabling me to concentrate on squeezing out that extra rep without the distraction of pain in my spine. It's also short enough to carry on the crossbar of my bike for transport to and from the gym.

I’ve tried many pads and this one is by far the best one. Its comfy, fits on the bar with ease, and you don’t get left with marks on your hip bone. It is a little big to carry but that’s a minor issue.

This squat pad is a must-have if you do squats, lunges, or hip thrusts. It fits both standard and Olympic bars perfectly and stays securely in place during lifts. Gets used every week for hip thrusts on the smith machine. Excellent product and very comfortable. Saves my hips!

Ich habe mir den Pad für schwere Hip Thrusts geholt und finde die Wirkung absolut genial! Dabei war ich anfangs recht skeptisch, weil ich auf Grund von abstehenden Hüftknochen schon ab 80kg Gesamtgewicht zwei Fitnessmatten für ein halbwegs gescheites Padding zusammenrollen musste und trotzdem Schmerzen und blaue Flecken hatte. Mit dem Pad merke ich von der Auflage her gar keinen Unterschied zwischen 50 und 120kg, die Belastung schluckt er einfach weg. Das einzige was ich bereue ist so lange mit dem Kauf gewartet zu haben!
