This is the second of these cameras that I have fitted. I am very pleased with them both. They are easy to set up and connect to the phone , Alexa automatically connects once the phone is set up. Physically fixing them to an outside wall is fairly easy as the bracket only needs four holes drilling in the wall but the two screws that fix the camera to the bracket are very small and fiddly to fit. There is quite a high probability that one or both will be dropped whilst trying to insert them. The video is very clear, the built in floodlight is quite bright and the infra red night vision works well. The sound quality is not perfect but completely acceptable. Movement sensing and tracking are excellent. All in all a great camera and well worth the price.

Great quality excellent quality picture amazing 8x zoom I can’t fault this camera I would buy again

Amazing clarity, fantastic night vision, motion detection, recording (sim not included) and play back, easy to opperate and install. My wifi is not that great in the rear garden but this has connected ok and functioning perfectly. Easy adding 2 cameras front and back of property. I can view when I`m out and about. Great for watching the foxes. A little dissapointed its not compatable with my smart TV. Would have been nice to watch the wildlife at night on the big screen. Doesnt detract from its all round quality and value though, really pleased.

So this is my 7th Imou camera - I've had these for years and been really happy with the performance & cost / value. Saw this one on a sale and since I wanted to add a 360 one, I went for it. It's bigger than I thought - not necessarily a bad thing but I prefer them smaller. I can see this one from across the garden. I love the flat charging cable as it's easier to put through a window frame. The picture is just ok - the angle is not as wide as my other (old - HD, also Imou) camera and the colours, especially green are not great - see the photos. I've added the 2024 2k (1st pic) and for comparison my old HD Imou camera (2nd picture). The image is overall sharper but not impressed with the colours and view angle - even though you can obviously move it around. Performance - wise, it's all good and I love the new "favourites" feature. Detection works well and the spot light is pretty bright - muchbrighter than on my other cameras. Adding it to the app was easy, took only a minute or so. Recording works fine - same as other cameras I have. All in all - a good camera that works well. Highly recommended to all.

Update For some reason I cant get it to tilt downwards sufficiently, but it will tilt up enough to film the sky! So logically I thought turn unit other way up to enable good downward view - except image is now upside down. This is last straw for ne with this piece of cheaply made Chinese rubbish. More plastic for the recycling bin. The only thing in its favour, the images are clear, it captures most events (but not all - something happened which caused pot plants to be scattered across a wide area and a large bin to be knocked over, but the camera didn't record it.) On the minus side, and its a big one, although there is the option to use your own memory card rather than subscribe to Imou's service, I did the 7 day trial of it, and whereas all the recordings on subscription service are shown on the home page, they make accessing the recordings on your card awkward and unintuitive, only one recording is shown on the home page - you have to press the two dots beneath this single recording in order to get the menu with option to view all recordings), its impossible to delete old ones or ones you dont need, nor can you apply a setting like only keep previous 7 days recordings, with the result your memory card soon fills up - pretty sure this is done to make people give up and subscribe. Tantamount to blackmail imho. I hate this kind of deliberate bad programming in order to frustrate customers who havent forked out for their subscription service. I will be selling this, and buying a different company's camera - one which doesn't have subscriptions, and performs as promised without one.- and likely solar powered too. I am unlikely to buy an IMOU product again.
