It did not take long to install this drive to replace an old and worn HDD. I could have cloned it from the old drive in my Tooploo but I wanted to upgrade frfom 8.1 to 10 so I started afresh and to be honest, I am glad I did. I have started loading some othe programmes but not nearly so many as before which means the laptop is very fast. How long will it last? How long is a piece of string? It works well and has all the space I expect from it. The Fanxiang is a good quality but low priced SSD and yes, I would recommend it.

I bought this to replace a smaller SSD that was full. It has worked well and I was able to clone the information from the old ssd to the new.I only both this brand because I am using their NVME drives without issue.

Lets hope for 2024. Thing is you want a disk to last a few years and then die softly.

So far it's working well for me and it's fast...good for the value...I don't know how much it will last, so I cannot mention here about it's quality or durability...from outer it looks cool though...

First time buying a brand not everyone knows...absolutely no difference...mines is running fine...has warranty and 0 downtime in the last 2 months of running.

Like most new SSDs, in order for Windows to 'see' the drive it has to be enable/initiated in the disk management pages in Windows settings.Within seconds all was good.Blisteringly fast compared to some other drives I have installed. USB3 drive to USB3 socket on PC (and then via sata cables) transferred massive files very quickly and accurately to PC.

Got this at the same time as a P3 NVMe drive, but I did something silly with this drive before I put it into my laptop (to replace an aging 1TB HDD)... I voided the warranty and opened it, genuinely curious as to whether the metal shell was being utilised as a heatsink. I had considered putting it in my mini PC but was concerned it might get too hot being sat right above an NVMe and a wifi card.Turns out the metal case is just for show, the chips inside do not make any contact with it & shoving some thermal pads in there for good measure probably made little difference to the temperatures (it has peaked at 49c even under full load, so it appears to take care of itself anyway).This was one of those "risky" purchases and I do not recommend voiding the warranty but this drive has been doing exactly what it is meant to do and for that, I cannot fault it yet!
