RIO Food for Parakeets Daily Ration, 1 Kg

This is the first time I have bought Rio. I was looking for seed to replace Prestige. I stopped Prestige quite some time now, as they are including EU permitted colouring and preservative. I use Beaphar and now that I have found Rio, I use both together. My birds love it! The seed is clean, no dust, and includes a long list of healthy seed and vitamin/mineral ingredients. It may sound expensive to people but I have tried to buy the best seeds for my birds as it keeps them in the best health possible, and a couple of my birds are 'senior citizen' age, with barely any vetinary intervention throughout their lives. I will be buying Rio from now on. I highly recommend it, and more importantly, so do my birds.

Nice quality food that the birds seem to love. We mix it with premium budgie seed for our two linnies. Small packs, hence much fresher for the birds. I don't like these that are bought in bulk as I think they lose their nutrition.

During the lockdown there seemed to be issues with getting cockatiel seed from my local pet shop. I bought this which is a lot more expensive than the local shop but my birds seem to love it! I've gone through the bag almost twice as fast as I would usually do

My Lovebirds love this seed. Seems to be a good selection of seeds. But it is pricey for the size of bag. Noticed the price fluctuates quite a bit.

I have Rosella's but they did not like this product.

This was sent to me by mistake and as Budgies are technically Parakeets I gave them some of it until I got some other seed, well they actually prefer this to other types of seed, they always go to this seed first in the mornings, they have other seed in the cage as well as this, they don't eat the sunflower seeds but love the rest, they are thriving so I buy 1 pk of this each month or so as well as other seed, I sieve out the large seeds now and give those to wild birds so they don't get wasted.

I dont do reviews! But my baby has not made a sound for over an hour ... he's only 4 months old but speaks hundred words- usually chats the whole time he is eating ! But .. Nothing !!! Says it all. I changed good food so I thought but he kept shouting .. I found little things I'm his food .. so I thought I'd try something else! This!!! I'll definitely be re-ordering ! Trust me .. a screaming bird to a quiet bird !!
