Shark Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner for Cleaning and Sanitizing with XL Removable Water Tank and 18-Foot Power Cord (S1000A),White

This is the fourth steam mop I have had over the last 25 years. I have had a Euro Streamer (1st one I had. Died due to age), Oreck (still in use at my daughters), Bissel twin tank (no longer working, used prior to the Shark). All of these worked well, with a very good to excellent life expectancy, except for the Bissel, which stopped working in just over a year. I thog I liked the Bissel the best, because of its head shape (triangle) and because it had a water tank and a cleaner tank, so for really dirty areas it was great, but it failed way too early and the addition of the cleaner tank was used very, very seldom. The Oreck was a little heavy to use, but worked and continues to work very well. The Eurosteamer was the first one I had and it work well, for almost 15 years, don'y believe they are available any longer. Its main problem was filling it, as the tank was in the head , so it needed to be lifted over the sink. I have had the Shark for about 3 months, great price and very lightweight. I was uncertain about how it would operate, because it steams only when the handle is pushed down and up during actual use. It took a few minutes before I got the hang of it, best to use shorter strokes on the floor, maybe 2', that way the "pumping" action is more frequent. It uses an easily removable tank and cleaning pad. The pad is the best one I have seen out of the 4 steamers have had. After these few months, this Shark Steamer has become my favorite Steam Mop, only time will tell about its build quaity and longevity.

I have never owned or used a steam mop before I purchased this one. I have, however, used just about any and every other kind of mop and other floor cleaning device out there, and I have to say, I prefer this to any other product or device I've ever used to clean my tile and laminate wood flooring. Previously, I was using a swiffer wet jet, which worked fine, but I was going through a ton of the spray cleaner that comes with it every time I cleaned the floors. I have 2 small dogs, and it recently occurred to me that I had no idea what the swiffer solution was made out of and whether or not it was safe for my dogs. This got me thinking about looking for a natural cleaning solution, which ultimately led me to the shark steam mop. (It uses only water to clean your floors; zero chemicals or other unknown substances.) I really didn't know what to expect when I received this thing, but it was insanely easy to put together, fill up, and get to cleaning. You literally just snap it together, fill up the water reservoir, pump the handle a few times, and you're ready to get mopping. I was able to clean my entire 1100 square foot house (all tile and laminate wood floors) without having to refill the water reservoir, and I have to say, this thing cleaned my floors as well, if not better than the swiffer wet jet and any other product I have tried. If your looking for a natural alternative to chemical floor cleaning products, I would highly recommend the shark steam mop!

So there are pros and cons to this purchase. Pros: It cleans so well! My floors have never looked so good. I love that I don’t have to use any chemicals or purchase extra cleaners for this. I also love the removable pads that are so easy to wash. Cons: The cord is very very short. I have to change where it’s plugged in even in my small kitchen. I also hate that in order for the steam to keep coming out I have to push this vigorously through the kitchen. Overall I’d buy it again, and I do love using it. I would recommend to anyone as long as you can handle the cons.

This steam mop replaced my bisssell steam mop (used disposable pads)- it has a trigger you used to release steam and it had broken after about 4 years of use. I did TONS of research on amazon reading reviews for dozens of steam mops. Took me weeks to decide on one. I really love this steam mops. It arrived in a well protected, easy to open box. Brand new condition. It was super duper easy to put together, took me a matter of a few minutes. The instructions are clearly written right on the part of the box you open so its easy and clear to see how to put it together. I love the removable water tank. It’s easy to remove and fill. This steam mop heats up super fast and is a pleasure to use. It cleans my floors ridiculously well, with little effort and little drying time. We don’t ever wear shoes in our home and i still couldn’t believe how much dirt this thing picked up, i clean my floors regularly. I did order 4 more cleaning pads because I like to change them often while steaming so I don’t feel like I’m just moving dirt around instead of cleaning it up. I’m very happy with this steam mop so far and my favorite part is there is no trigger to use or break! I would highly recommend this steam mop thus far.

This is one of the best products I've bought. Its easy to use although the cord is a little short. I have wood flooring throughout the main floor and 2 bathrooms with tile and a tile hallway. I cleaned all of this with one tank of water. I was extremely impressed with how well it cleaned and how quickly it dried. Left the wood floor looking polished and clean and took me a 1/3 of the time to clean all floors as a regular mop and bucket did. 10/10 - would definitely recommend the investment.

Es magnífica, limpia toda la mugre con el plus que desinfecta el vitropiso. Uno debe tener en cuenta que no es para mugre de años, es para usarla diariamente. El tanque lleno me rinde para la primera planta de mi casa (7x15 m2), y se mete hasta el fondo debajo de los muebles sin problemas. Lo único que no me agrada es que no hay otro forma de apagarla a menos que se desenchufe, estaría genial que tuviera un interruptor y que se pudiera regular la cantidad de vapor sin estar bombeando todo el tiempo, aunque se hace de manera automática como si uno trapeara. Los pads si recogen todo, yo los lavo a mano con detergente líquido y los cuelgo al sol, quedan listos para el siguiente día de limpieza.

Great for a quick clean in between your regular proper mop. I wouldn't use this as the only form of mopping, you will need to do a proper mop every now and then, but this is good for using in-between full mops or when you need a quick once over the floor.
