Well, this clamp measures exactly at 2 1/4 inches alright, so technically the spec is correct, BUT it sure does NOT fit over a standard 2 1/4 inch pipe. That is because what auto parts stores call 2 1/4 inch pipe has an INSIDE diameter of 2 1/4, so when you buy a REAL 2 1/4 inch muffler clamp from the auto store, it actually measures a little larger than 2 1/4 so it can fit OVER the pipe that has that 2 1/4 inch inside diameter. Also, I thought it might be a low grade of stainless at least, but it is not. USELESS.

Good product for the price

I looked at all the reviews to make sure I was actually ordering a stainless steel product, but obviously no previous buyer knows the difference between plated mild steel and stainless! I'm not sending them back, but I am NOT happy!!! :(

Not a bad price for two . 1-1/2” clamp Took a little work to get over the joint of the exhaust pipe but not too bad with a pair of pliers and a hammer . Seems to have a good tight seal. And Works as it should. Over all happy with it .
