Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Xbox – Airbus Edition (Compatible with XBOX and PC)

The kids begged me to buy this for the holiday for weeks.. I felt it was pricey for a “ video” game but I gave in and I’m sure happy that I did. This is not your typical video game. In fact it’s more of a hobby ( even with adults ) that could lead to a career as a pilot. It is not easy and there are several ways to challenge yourself. I noticed that my kids spend way less time on their phones and gravitate towards the thrustmaster I found that it helps one of my kids with certain skill sets he was lacking such as hand eye coordination , concentration and other executive function skills. Most of all ? It teach them patience- they are Amazon spoiled! Don’t hesitate ! One of my sons declared he’s going to be a pilot … does thrustmaster make a plane ?

It was very challenging to set these up on MSF2024. But after doing some research, I was able to figure out how to properly calibrate the controllers, especially the throttles, flaps and spoilers. The experience is amazing. Quality control on the joystick and throttle is pretty decent. LED POWER indicator will not light up on the xbox button when using it for the PC. This is normal. Joystick has a switch on the back where you can select Xbox mode or PC mode.

I originally googled Thrustmaster looking for something else, but then I found these high quality flight controls. They work great for my flight simulator. Thank you!

Wonderful Joystick/Sidestick for MS Flight Sim 2020 & 2024. Haven't been able to get it to work right on Xbox One X. I think it has to be newer Xbox Series X/S.

This is a new version of the same hardware. However, the old hardware worked like a charm—just plug it in and use it with MS Flight Simulator or X-Plane. Unfortunately, this new hardware does not work as plug-and-play. After spending some time assigning functions, it can come close but not quite match the first-generation hardware. Now, driver and firmware upgrades are needed. For example, in X-Plane, the gear up/down function has only an "up" setting, with no "down" option configurable, so the only way to use it is by toggling or write a macro, which is not right. There are many issues like this. Very disappointing. If I cannot come up with a fix, I will return it. I did discover a fix for the issues, plug each product separately to a USB port on the PC, don't follow the instruction and loop it through the flight stick. It fixed the issues instantly

Cool product and easy to setup but has many issues. Please beware, it's not plug in and everything works automatically in Flight Sim 2020/2024 and Warthunder. You have to manually setup controls and even then still don't even work. This is coming from an Xbox user, the setup of controls on Xbox are atrocious and this is unacceptable that this doesn't work since it has the xbox brand attached to it, unbelievable. Also no guides for how to set this up on xbox, only for PC.
