Looking for a shovel to add into my emergency car kit when I came across this - so glad I got this! I would say it's 100% worth the money - it feels sturdy, is compact and can fold away. When you unfold it, you twist to tighten so that it doesn't fold on you when using it. I don't know how it was fair up to repeat usage as it is for an emergency kit, and I didn't rate it on "easy to assemble" because there's no real assembly involved. It comes with it's own bag too to stop it dirtying your car. If you're looking for one, this is worth the money.

This arrives in a sturdy cardboard box, and looks quite smart. The snow shovel is a matt black and heavier than expected. It is folded when you take it out of the box, and there's a decent quality black bag included to store it in. It took a few minutes to work out how to open the spade up properly - the neck section needs loosening enough to be able to straighten everything out, then tightened to lock into place. Once done it is then straightforward. The spade is a good size, looks and feels decent quality, takes up little room in the boot once folded again, and will be really useful. Definitely worth trying.

It’s a strong tool , due to no snow, at the moment, I can’t comment just yet, but always be prepared for bad weather

Great size and weight for me to clear the two steps at my front door. Very easily folded to put in the bag provided when not in use and doesn’t take up much storage space in the car. Would highly recommend for small areas and emergency in car.

This AA 'snow' shovel is very similar and almost identical to a Gerber Entrenching Tool. For the price offered on Amazon UK, i ended up getting 2 of these. Bought them not only for winter use, but for light duty shovelling for camping, hiking, gardening and as an emergency shovel . Handle made of tough light weight nylon plastic, shovel blade is coated steel (not sure what type). The connecting rod between handle and steel blade is a rectangular piece of hollow aluminium. Beefy nuts and bolts keep the different parts in one connected piece. After doing some research, the main noticeable difference between this and the other shovel I mentioned above is the thickness of the aluminium rectangular tube that connects the blade and the handle. The AA shovel's is thinner. I have no idea if this blade is of the same quality and hardness as the Gerber. But for the price offered here on Amazon, I am not bothered! The two pivot connection platelets at the center of the shovel blade are WELDED on, as opposed to being riveted as in many other foldable shovels sold here and online. This welded connection is something that's also found on the Gerber E-tool. My guess is the shovels blades that are found on the AA shovel and the Gerbers come from the same factory. The only difference could be that the heat treatment for these might be done differently and maybe in different countries? When folded, there's alot of free play at the shovel blade side (at the connection to the aluminium rod). I might add in some plastic shims/washers to remove the rattle/freeplay. Overall an excellent buy. Visually A Very High Quality Product.

I understand why this product is popular. Extremely cheap but still very good. And it becomes absolutely tiny when folded. Great to keep in your car if your area is prone to a lot of snow.

Ricevuto l'oggetto in questione , mi sembra ben fatto e robusto , il suo ingombro è realmente ai minimi termini, per cui non puo' mancare in una auto all terrain! Io che abito in una zona dove la neve non manca , avevo sentito spesso la mancanza di un supporto per coadiuvare gli eventuali problemi , in cui spesso mi caccio per fotografare in zone dove magari la strada nella neve l'apro io... e seppure la mia Panda 4x4 non ha nessun problema di trazione ovunque, ha comunque il limite dato dall'altezza da terra del pianale e con oltre 40 cm . di neve , se non gliela togli di sotto diventa difficile proseguire. L'ho sempre dovuto fare a braccia , credo che questa paletta sia l'ideale per velocizzare le funzioni di disimpegno e perchè no dare una mano a chi è in difficoltà . Concludo con un compratela , ordinata Sabato arrivata Lunedì cosa chiedere di più? Saluti Fiorenzo.

+ Realmente una pala versátil facil de montar y que apenas ocupa lugar. Un diseño genial y pinta de resistente. - le agradeceria un pico en la parte posterior y un borde dentado, pero hace su función .
