Whole Bean Coffee – Rich Flavor and Great Value
I recently ordered the [Brand Name] whole bean coffee from Amazon, looking for a fresh and flavorful option to upgrade my morning brew. The package arrived quickly and was well-sealed, preserving the aroma and freshness of the beans. Aroma: As soon as I opened the bag, I was hit with a wonderful, rich scent—notes of dark chocolate and a hint of caramel. It smelled fresh and inviting, exactly what you’d hope for in a premium coffee. Grinding & Brewing: I used a manual grinder and tested the beans in both a French press and an espresso machine. The grind was smooth, and the beans responded well in both methods. I got a full-bodied cup every time, with consistent extraction and very little bitterness. Taste: The flavor is robust yet balanced. There’s a natural sweetness with subtle nutty and chocolatey undertones. The acidity is mild, and the finish is smooth. It’s the kind of coffee you can enjoy black, but it also pairs well with milk for a creamy latte or cappuccino. Pros: Fresh, aromatic beans Versatile for different brewing methods Smooth and flavorful profile Good value for the price Cons: My only minor issue was with bean consistency. A few beans were smaller or slightly chipped, which can affect grind uniformity. It didn’t have a major impact on the taste, but it's worth noting for more meticulous coffee enthusiasts. Conclusion: Overall, this is a great everyday coffee for anyone who enjoys a deep, satisfying cup with rich flavor. It may not be a high-end specialty roast, but it easily competes with more expensive brands in terms of taste and aroma. I’ll definitely be ordering it again.

Ok flavour and value for money
I do like my coffee but in no way a conissour of beans. Let's just say that I've had worst in the past. I find the flavour and strength to be good. They work well with my bean to cup machine, and everyone who else drinks coffee in my house agrees (so far) that it's ok on the taste buds. Would buy again!

Lovely, but too expensive today
I love this coffee. It may be too dark, bitter for many afficiandos, but for good or ill this is the perfect coffee flavour profile for me. However, the recent price rises mean I now buy direct from the manufacturer. Nearly half the price compared to what it is selling for currently here.

I am in coffee heaven and in no rush to leave
This is a mixed product page and so reviews are lumped in together. This review is for the French roast. I can’t comment on other varieties. I took a bit of a punt with this as I have never heard of the company before despite them having a UK office in Wales – I am guessing the roasting and packing takes place there. I am glad I took a chance with it as this has just gone straight into my number 1 slot for French roasts. The roast is to perfection, just getting to the point where the oils are oozing out, but without the burn. The beans are a deep dark brown colour and the aroma is exactly what I want from a roast. When I think of coffee, this is exactly what I imagine Dark roasts are not for everyone, but they are my favourites and this one packs a punch. I use it in a bean to cup to make Lattes. The milk can often weaken the flavour, but this one shines through. As a straight coffee it can be a bitter, but I tend to use lighter roasts for straight coffee. This one is nicely priced at £9.50 which is just as well as I polished off a bag in less than a month and I am the only coffee drinker in the house. I have ordered more and it is likely to be a regular purchase now.

Lovely coffee but beans are oily
Really like the coffee and bulk ordered 4x1kg but the beans are too oily for my automatic bean to cup machine. They do not move easily into the grinder and have coated the mechanism. On further reading the advice seems to be not to use oily beans in automatics. Amazon store says not eligible to return hence the share. If your coffee grinder is easily cleaned you'll love this for flavour and value.

Really great coffee if you appreciate rich and aromatic
We are very fussy coffee drinkers quite prepared to return a cup in coffee shops which was poorly prepared (pre lockdown)!! So this was a great discovery after we acquired a bean to cup machine. Unlike several disappointing so called rich and dark blends from various brands this delivers on strength, flavour (we drink either espresso or dry cappuccino) and aroma. We run the machine on the strongest setting and do not find the coffee bitter. Indeed it is rich and French in character. Fantastic lingering aroma in the kitchen! Brilliant and lovely to know it is coming from a family concern and its Welsh operation at that.

Good but expensive
This is good coffee I really enjoyed it but I won't buy it again as it has tripled in price in three years. Shame.

This French Roast whole bean coffee has a rich, bold flavor that’s perfect for dark roast lovers. The beans are fresh, aromatic, and produce a smooth cup with deep notes that aren’t bitter or burnt. It brews consistently well whether using a drip machine or a French press. The 2 lb bag is a great value and lasts a good while, making it ideal for daily coffee drinkers. Overall, this is a high-quality, full-bodied coffee that delivers great taste and reliability.
