Broke after a month of use, saw sparks come out of it and its dead now. Waste of money

I bought this in 2022 and it has been great. Instructions easy to follow. Great value for money. Very easy to store too. I like how quickly it heats up, and how quickly food cooks. I love frying eggs, making pancakes, cooking steaks and even cooking homemade nan bread on it. The grill is very versatile. In the instructions it explains the temperature of each number on the dial which helps you to know which one to use depending on what you are cooking. I would recommend using a bit of oil for frying eggs etc especially when first using it, because they stuck when I first tried it out. I was surprised at how easy it was to clean when we had made steak. I haven't noticed any weird off gassing smell. I like the quality of this one compared to others that I have had the opportunity to use since buying this. We are a family of 5 and this size has been fine for us. I would recommend.

I bought this as a replacement for a hob top frying pan. This probably replaces 90% of the need to keep getting the pan out. For basics like bacon, burgers, lamb fillets etc I use no oil as it’s really not necessary. If I’m cooking something like steak, I marinade it with olive oil and herbs first to improve cooking, texture and flavour. I then just drop it straight onto the grill with the oil infused. The stat does cycle but isn’t a problem for me as I generally cook on setting’s 3 or 4. When I unboxed it, there was a little bit of unevenness on its feet, but that seems to have straightened out with use and it’s solid now. After a week of use it’s showing no signs of losing its non-stick but you must only use soft cloths or sponges with a little soap. There really isn’t any need to use a scouring pad on it as it cleans easily. The “Judge” logo has rubbed off the drip tray (see picture) but that’s hardly an issue really. All in all, I’m happy with it as a first time purchase and it will be interesting to see how it lasts over the next few months.
