I always have one of these on my desk for jotting notes - the paper isn't as good as TomoeRiver but it is very safe for fountain pens and very reasonably priced. I also liek that it is dotted, not ruled or blank, and the spiral binding allows it to lay flat.

Just to be clear (as Amazon have the title for this Rhodia pad wrong) this Rhodia pad is a dot pad, not lined pad. I double checked before I ordered to make sure it was a dot pad even though the title/description says lined. The Black Dot Grid is 165039 and the Black Lined is 165019. Still love the dot pads from Rhodia, great for fountain pen use. Have a mix of this and the regular Rhodia Dot Pad 16559 and really do love these pads for writing with fountain pens. No feather or bleeding, slightly glossy/smooth finish, bright white with light grey dots.

The back cardboard is not quite stiff enough it would perhaps be improved by having both front and back cardboard.

Quite honestly a great little product. If like me you a sucker for nice, thick paper that feels great for writing or drawing then you can't go wrong with a Rhodia notepad. I've marked it down on sturdiness based on the fact it's wirevound and generally they're easily bent, but the main thing to consider is what you'll be using it for. Which is why overall it gets five stars at a bargain price.

Great notebook to use with fountain pens, but not my favourite due to how glassy smooth it can feel depending on the nib. I like using this with finer nibs with a tad bit more resistance.

It's a nice notebook that fits a pocket.

Rhodia paper is so consistent, solid and great performer for fountain pens. My favorite paper
