Every electrician needs one of these in there bag. I previously had a draper one for about 8 years before it finally broke. (In everyday bag at work it took a ton of abuse). This one is actually better than the last in a couple of ways. Firstly 2 level bubbles, don’t often need the 2nd but handy when doing a 2 gang shower isolator or something.Second upgrade is a little notch to mark the centre of both the 1 and 2 gang boxes which is really handy.Overall nothing could be improved with this. It’s small as possible. Durable. Time saving. And cheap. If you’re still balancing a level on a box whilst trying to draw around it do yourself a favour and get one of these !

I this this product is superb. It gives very precise and perfect cuts everytime. The product is very sturdy andis very easy to use. The wee level on the middle was a bonus but i still mark a level each time just incase its off. Fits double and single sockets perfect everytime. Performance 100% and the apperance is great.

Good and accurate for DIY work.The spring was of little use to me but I suppose it would be OK for cutting a number of boxes around work surfaces at the same height.I found this easy to use but cutting on/inside the line left the fit too tight. As the job has to be made good with plaster/filler anyway I decided to drill/cut just outside the lines which provided adequate flexibility.The accuracy of the bubble level was good and the only improvement that I could suggest would be the inclusion of a couple of pins to prevent the template from moving whilst drawing lines, something that I shall address for myself.With 8 rooms to decorate and umpteen sockets to fit/replace this has definitely made my life easier.

A very simple device, just a bit of plastic with a spirit level and coiled spring. But that's all it needs to be. Nothing is going to 'break' , it can be lobbed in the bag or the van without worrying about packing it away in its own foam padded case.It's simple to use, a screw on the side loosens the coiled spring, match up against an existing socket (if that's your choice) or measure out to meet the regulations and then move around, marking up your sockets, always being the exact same height from the surface. The spirit level is just a spirit level, it's accurate enough.

A very useful tool to have in your electricians box.Draper appear to be the only company that has worked out that you don't need a completely separate template for a single and a double gang box.You just extend the single into a double.This makes the template smaller than others, which is a good thing.As other reviews have pointed out, the supplied spring for setting height is useless for new builds. Even with a skirting board it doesn't reach the minimum height of 450mm, however, for putting new sockets into an existing system, it does have its uses.The built in spirit level is useful, and more importantly accurate.It was spot on when compared with my Stabila level.Overall, this is a very useful piece of equipment. Even If you were only putting a couple of sockets in at home, considering the price it would still be worth getting.I hope you found this review helpful.

I'm sure this items works well enough. Unfortunately this product came without the height adjuster as advertised & ordered.I need this for work on Monday so don't have time to return & reorder.Yours Disappointed

Very handy item to have in bag, you can set up the laser level around the room and using the centre idents on this jig allows you to correctly position all the sockets at the perfect height, would definitely recommend and comes with own level making it very easy to use!

It was nice to have when putting in a socket, but managed for 40 years without one. I guess it was easier to make sure it was level with this rather than drawing around a back box.
