I associate the smell of the original Armani fragrance with a certain time on my life, in various places, and a group of people I aspired to, admired and was obviously close enough to inhale the chemicals they’d dabbed on themselves. Smell is the most nostalgia inducing of all the senses, because it’s embedded in our primitive brains, the cortexes and wiring of the hunter-gatherer we all grew out of. It doesn’t fulfill many of the functions we appreciated then; indeed many of them impair our modern lives. The smell of rotting food or poison was important to get right to save our lives. The same sense makes us salivate at the smell of over-processed crud we should run a mile from. And what has that got to do with this overpriced, light and flowery yer sophisticated liquid, one that doesn’t last that long and, even by the hilarious rules of this oddest of capitalist sectors, is about as expensive as uranium or diamonds** To me it’ll always smell nice, expensive and posh and of Good People at a Good Time. The value of this product, as well as the values used in the making and marketing of this pointless item, may rise and fall. You will lose your entire investment as the product is ephemeral and you are left with nothing at all. But it still smells nice.

Still the best mens armani edt by far, such an overwhelming fresh fragrance, smelling it took me back 30 years ,when I used to wear it all the time, timeless classic that modern day fragrances couldn't compete with. Top Draw mens edt aftershave.

stupidly overpriced but as it is now discontinued by the manufacturer (why oh why?) isuppose its now a case of supply and demand . the actual fragrance is unique and a beautiful and subtle masculine scent. have worn it for 40 odd years… tried all the other modern fragrances in the range but find them over powe

A really good fragrance, hard to find as I think Armani have discontinued this a few years ago, so I was happy to find it but bit expensive and considering it is no longer produced and dealers have it stock and need to sell it anyway I would have expected a lower price

One of my favourite fragrances it's smells absolutely amazing, it lasts long & you can still smell it on clothes that I've worn days after. It was very good value too.

Goodness knows how much I've spent on this product over the years; I buy it where it's cheapest and Amazon are winning at the moment. If you've not tried it, go and find a tester somewhere first. I'd be very surprised if you didn't like it; I don't have any other make of eau de toilette anymore. I'm tempted to knock a star off because the hole in the atomiser is now so small I can barely see it; this often results in the fragrance getting sprayed in the wrong direction and this is not something I want (or can afford) to waste! However, I'm not going to buy anything else so I'll have to be more careful!
