VAD507 V-Drums Acoustic Design Drum Kit with original full-size V-Drums Acoustic Design experience.

Great sounding drum set.

For $5,000 it doesn't come with kick peddle, high-hat stand, snare stand, head phones. The throne and sticks no big deal. This isn't a complete kit, the items they didn't include are not that costly. I'm sure it' a great kit but really leaving basic components out of the kit makes no sense. You can't play it as delivered, poor marketing decision to leave out such basic components.

Uhg. I hate to give my VAD 506 such a low rating. I love Roland and love the look of acoustic drums combined with the flexibility of a digital format. But, unfortunately, there are just too many troubling issues I've experienced with my kit over two years. Most notably, the cymbal triggers are poorly made and my 16" pretty much stopped working in the middle of a gig. Looking into it, there are MANY drummers that have experienced the exact same problem. I replaced it and that one also failed. I threw on an old TD-17 cymbal and it works great! The hi-hat is similarly very buggy and sensitive. Overall, I would think twice about repurchase this particular kit until they sort out their cymbal issues. Perhaps I just received a kit that was built late on a Friday afternoon...
