Connected my iMac and iPad to my Hi-fi amp and Tannoy speakers - wow!! Good result.
I got this after seeing it used on Techmoan's channel on Youtube (good channel BTW). I was watching this guy reviewing vintage hi-fis. For some time now I have been listening to music through my Mac, iPad and a little stereo DAB/FM radio - but I missed the sound quality of my old analog Teac (a-h500) amp and Tannoy Mercury speakers. The set-up was pretty simple, just connected up to the Auxiliary (aux) ports on the back of my amp, plugged it into power source (came with a plug) , switched on (press the top of the Logitech). First device was my iPad - Logitec came up on bluetooth devices. Watching music videos only iPad while listening through my old amp and speakers was almost a religious experience! Wow! The depth and richness of sound I had been missing for so long. I have bought another amp for my lounge and set the Logitec up with my iMac playing through another TEAC (a-h300) amp I bought since getting the Logitec Bluetooth receiver/audio adapter. It is incredible listening after being so used to the iMac's capable but comparatively small speakers. Rock,Reggae,Soul, Classical and Jazz - I am hearing them as they should be heard, picking up some tiny notes and subtleties that are just missing when listening through computer speakers. I can search digital radio channels on my Apple devices and play them through my hi-fi using this device too. All-in-all, a great little device for the money - worth every penny. One thing though. The Logitec needs to be in "line of sight" with your device. They claim 17 feet, and that seems right - I took my iPad to the bathroom so I could play music videos through my hi-fi while having a bath -it went a bit fuzzy, but that was through two open doors and not indirect line of sight, but I was stretching the limits - two partition walls and doors opens not in direct sight. Great device. I recommend this product to anyone wanting to go retro and listen to music how it should sound - through a real hi-fi amp and speakers.

Amazing device, highly recommend
This is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while, and I can’t believe I ever lived without it! This little device took less then 2 minutes to set up. All you do is plug in the power (UK plug supplied), and plug in your speakers to the 3.5mm port at the back. For older audio systems, there are RCA connectors located on the back. Logitech were nice enough to include an RCA to 3.5mm extension cable as well! When you power the device on, it is already in pairing mode and you can set it up with your phone/tablet etc. straight away. A great feature about this little box is that it has multipoint Bluetooth. This means that you can connect a couple of devices at once and it will play the audio from whatever device is playing. I have set it up to my phone and Mac. No need to disconnect and reconnect! Pairing a secondary device is done by pushing the button on top. When Bluetooth devices are out of range, the device goes in to a low power state. No annoying flashing lights or beeps! The Bluetooth version is 3.0 (not mentioned anywhere on packaging, but did my research). It’s a little outdated, but doesn’t impact performance or sound quality. What this means is that the range is limited to 15 meters. Ideally, you need to keep the device within your line of sight. This is just fine for most audio setups. The receiver has a small form factor and sits well amongst my HK speakers and Mac. Audio quality is pretty decent and I haven’t noticed much difference in the quality versus a wired connection. I have used other receivers on the market and they have emitted a static or ticking sound when there is no audio playing. I did not have that problem with this Logitech device. Overall, great performance and value for money. You won’t be disappointed!

An easy way to update vintage hi-fi to bluetooth
It takes just a moment to add bluetooth connectivity to an old hi-fi system with this little Logitech box. I connected it up to the AV/Aux ports on the system's amp, plugged it into power, turned it on, pressed the pairing button and straightaway the Logitech adaptor showed up in the bluetooth settings on my iPad. It's that easy. My old hi-fi is still great for hi-end sound quality, and now I can stream music from anywhere to play through the speakers. I had hoped that I might also be able to use it when watching movies, but - as I'd read in some reviews before - it doesn't quite work. The lip sync is a milli-second out, just enough to make actor close ups unwatchable. Still, for audio, the Logitech is perfect. And if your streaming source is in the same room, you can even hide the box out of sight so you either don't see it at all, or just add a soft blue glow to the room.

Older Hi Fi? No Brainer ...
Thought it worth adding my name to those already full of praise for this little bluetooth marvel. I integrated this into my Audio Innovations hifi stand very easily, unit + RCA cables + power sitting invisibly behind my amp due to its diminutive size. Setting into broadcast mode (to connect a new device) is a simple process of reaching behind the amp and pressing the tactile button on top of receiver - easy!!! My hifi rig is a Cambridge Audio 640A connected to Mordant Short speakers and sub. I've fed the adapter everything I have (Apple Lossless / MP3) and am very pleased with the quality, its superb. Streaming audio is just as good. Aside from the audio quality, there are 2 very pleasing / unexpected aspects to the receiver: a) Volume. No issues at all in my case easily the best receiver I've used requiring the least boost. b) Video sync. You Tube et al, video and audio sync perfectly. Has opened up all sorts of viewing pleasure whilst iPad is sitting on top of hi fi. Logitech produce well engineered, robust products these days. This adapter is yet another in the category. At the price, this product has brought my hifi (which I invested a right few quid in) bang up-to-date in terms of capability. A superb buy, well done Logitech.

Neat and Attractive Product, BUT: Infuriating Connection Problem
Reluctantly I have to give this product one star and advise potential purchasers about what could be a very infuriating feature. When turned on this device will connect automatically to the last Bluetooth device it was connected to as soon as it comes into range. This feature is hard-wired, it cannot be turned off. An example of what this means in practice: your mobile phone has been connected to the Logitech adapter. You go out with the phone and the connection is lost. You then return and want to connect to another Bluetooth device but you will find that the the phone has automatically connected to the Logitech device. You try disconnecting the phone from the Logitech but it will immediately reconnect and will keep doing so faster than you can stop it. You simply cannot connect to any other Bluetooth device. The only solution is to go to the Logitech device, which may be one or two floors below, and physically disconnect it from its power supply. I use a workaround by connecting the power to the unit through a spare channel on a remote control light switch, only switching on whenever I want to use it and leaving it off most of the time. That option probably would not appeal to most potential purchasers. Logitech really should fix this infuriating fault, but reading web comments it appears they have no plans to do so. Until they fix it my advice would be do not buy.

Excellent device, easy to use.
Excellent device. Very simple to use. An easy way to connect the parallel worlds of handheld devices and traditional home stereo systems. Plug in the mains adaptor supplied, connect it to a spare input on your stereo amplifier using the cable supplied, pair it with your handheld device and away it goes. Or, using the same cable the other way around, you can plug it into the input small phono socket of powered speakers like the ones you normally use with computers. I paired with my blackberry; I told the BB to look for devices, then connect to the Logitech one it found. I didn't need to touch the Logitech unit at all. Pairing a second and subsequent device requires a press of the only button on the top of the adapter. When I play music on the BB it now comes out of the stereo speakers and the BB speaker is muted. You can use the volume control on your handheld device. The adapter is small and unobtrusive; you can judge the size from the phono outputs in the picture. It seems to work from at least 20 feet away . and will even automatically connect with a handheld device in the next room. the quality is not quite full CD but pretty close - this is probably the fault of Bluetooth per se not the unit. I could foresee myself buying more of these.

Brilliant devide. Simple & MUCH better than Airplay Express
I bought two items in this order: One to do the same job as this for the car (didn't work & being sent back today) & this adapter from Logitech, a brand I am very familiar with & have a good deal of confidence. I bought this to plug into my B&W Zeppelin as I was too frustrated with the Airplay Express that I'd been faithfully advised by a "friend in the know" was the way to go. What rot. The Airplay was a nightmare to setup, manage & even to try & understand (in spite of YouTube tutorials). This Logitech adapter by contrast takes seconds to set up, 2-3 seconds for iPod Tough, my Nexus 7 tablet & my HTC mobile to recognise & works like a charm. Sound quality is absolutely great too, As for the range, well it's a Bluetooth device so do bear that in mind. I just tested it from the kitchen in the house here & after about 8m (less than 20 feet) the distance & house brickwork breaks the signal up but this is totally expected. Bottom line is why would I want to carry the iPod into the kitchen when the music's playing in the living room? In summary, this is a great little devide & you'll not be disappointed. Also if you have Amazon Prime, it'll be there next day too. 5 well-deserved stars for Logitech, again :o)

Switch 2 compatible!
Works perfectly with my Switch 2 and my non Bluetooth speakers! It was super easy to set up. I also like how small it is, so it's less space taking up in my bedroom. It doesn't change the way my speakers sound but that's ok. I also like that it uses not a lot of power to whatever I'm using. This Bluetooth adapter is so good that I can use it for multiple things now and on the future. There's only one downside, because my speakers are connected to my PC, I have to unplug the AUX jack at the front of my speakers if I want sound from my PC. I did use an old 2.0 Bluetooth dongle and I had to turn up Spotify very loudly on my PC for it to be heard correctly through Voice Meeter Banana. The first time I did it, my speakers were humming and the sound was echoey as well as the singers voice sounded wrong. I unplugged the jack and tried again connecting to the dongle and it worked with no issue. I decided to unplug the jack when I'm not using it for my Switch 2 because I also have Bluetooth headphones with their own Bluetooth dongle. I don't want the Bluetooth adapter to interfere with them while in use.
