SH90 Replacement Rotary Heads for Philips Norelco Shavers Series 9000, New Version of Metal Wheel Buckle and Upgrade Double-Layer Precision Blades

I used this to replace the entire head on a Sensotouch 3D, AKA the 8100. It used the older 1250X/40 heads which are pretty hard to find now, so I wanted a better option. I purchased this head along with the actual Philips heads/foils and replaced them before even trying it. Upon inspection the blades it comes with are junk (less rows), but that was to be expected. I only needed the head assembly though since I planned on replacing the blades already. It is a little louder than the old head, but nothing alarming. 2 months later it's still going strong.

Buyer beware. This is a cheap knockoff of the old SH 90 shaver head. I saw the photo and did not read carefully that it was not a genuine Phillips replacement parts. Not only did the blades not cut well but they pulled hairs out to the point of being painful. The phillips does sell a replacement for the 9000 series head but it is more squared off than rounded,, but works great. This product is not merchantable and should not be sold

I've tried a couple different companies full shaver head replacements over the years. I came back to these. They seem to provide the best shave, or quickest shave. It's unfortunate this model has a warning for a lot of returns. But again I find them to be the best so far. Still not as good as the originals, but better than a lot of others being sold right now. I think there really are 2 SH90 razers being manufactured but with many different companies selling them. These SH90s have little dots in the center ring. The other SH90 type does not. At least that's what I've observed so far purchasing a few of these. I purchased one recently from another company and it looked exactly like the model I bought from another company. I bet they all come out of the same factory.

This is the third shaving head I've put on the razor over the many years I've owned it---counting the one it came with. It seems that with daily use the small parts begin to wear after a couple years and the thing gets pretty noisy. And the cut quality drops off a little. But for a relatively small outlay of money you get a brand new razor! Not a bad deal at all.

Blades are rough and pull hair during shave. So it hurts if you use it at a fast pace like I used to with my original blades

I purchased this shaver replacement, hoping to save some money, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a poor investment. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell the quality was subpar. The plastic felt flimsy and cheaply made, which didn’t instill much confidence in its durability unlike the original that came with the shaver. Upon using the shaver, it became clear that it didn’t cut well. I had to go over the same area multiple times to achieve a barely acceptable result. It tugged at my hair rather than cutting it cleanly, leading to a painful and frustrating experience. To make matters worse, the shaver broke after just a few uses. The blade became dull almost immediately. Overall, I cannot recommend this shaver replacement. It’s cheaply made, doesn’t cut well, and broke after a short period of use. Spend a little extra and invest in a higher-quality replacement – this one is not worth it.

This is not easy to do but this will be a negative review! Bought this complete head and base assembly thinking it would be a quick and easy swap. I took off the old unit and popped on the one and OMG, I've heard wood chippers that made less noise. I tried to rotate the upper blade assembly but no change. I tried shaving and it was bouncing all over my face. It left rough uncut areas on my face and turned my skin red in patches. I swapped the new blade assembly onto one of my old but quiet base units and problem solved. It's the base that's causing all of the vibration problems. Blades are OK but not great. I took off and put my old stuff back on. I won't buy this again and you should look elsewhere!

Regresé a una excelente rasurada. No ajusta el porta navajas a la rasuradora bien, por lo que hay que cambiar la base de plástico que se inserta a la rasuradora por la original a la que le pones las nuevas navajas

Unfortunately this Philips 9000 series replacement head is of poor quality. Firstly it pulls hairs and slows the shavers’ drive motor when installed compared to the original head. Lastly it causes terrible razor burn.. I regret not using it sooner after purchase because now I can’t return it or ask for a refund! Stick with the real McCoy accessories for Philips razors! I cannot recommend this product :(
