Hi Philip, sorry to here of your stroke and hope that you are on the road to recovery. The machine will stimulate muscle tension but not make limb movement's. What about using spring loaded hand grips, you can get them at different load strength's. If you can close the grip the spring load will open it again so creating the two movements that you would seem to need. You could try using both the machine to liven up the muscle's and a grip to help fist performance. Trust that this may be of help. Rev.
