Colour that sticks
This stuff works like a dream. Doesn't start to fade for several weeks and works really nice on darker hair too.

True Blue 😊
I'm always chopping and changing my hair colour, and this was the first time I used manic panic and I chose the AMPLIFIED AFTER MIDNIGHT BLUE DYE. The advice is always to pre lighten the hair, with bleach if needed. I decided against this has I had already pre lightened my hair (but not bleach) when I dyed it pink 4 month's ago. And couldn't be bothered to wait for the pink to totally fade and start right from the beginning. Blah, blah. Being an insomniac (and impatient) was an advantage for when trawling through the Internet and YouTube looking for advice on dying straight over the pink. The majority outcome was not to as it would be a yucky colour . But I found 1 video that did take that risk and it turned out beautifully. So I decided to take the plunge. I put on cheap plastic gloves (my advice is to use washing up gloves (I wish I had. And make sure that they are ones you won't want to use again lol)), which did tear hence my lovely blue hands. And smothered protelium jelly around my hairline and top of my ears. This is a messy process and preparation is everything. I emptied the contents into a bowel and added a squirt of WHITE coloured hair contiditioner just to lighten it a tad. And applied it starting at my roots. Once fully covered I got clingfilm piled my hair on top of my head and wrapped it in the clingfilm and left it for 3 hours (manic panic advice is 30 mins, but I've found for myself, the longer the better). As you can see (my pic's aren't the best as I'm not the most photogenic), the only way I can describe the outcome is WOW!!! WOW!!! It looks so much better in 'real life'. The blue obviously has attached itself to the pink and the rest of my virgin hair a blackish colour, which thankfully covered my natural sparkly bits. When I wash it next, I will use cool, even cold water, if I'm feeling brave and colour saving shampoo/conditioner. And in between washes dry shampoo (which is my new best friend and should be yours too), as every wash reduces the colour and vibrancy. So I wash my hair once or twice a week. I've had so many compliments the most I've had with any colour. I gave 3* stars for long lasting as I've only been blue a week, so time will tell. I would recommend this colour and brand, and I can't wait for when I try another colour in a few months x

Smelly!!!
The dye is a lovely semi-permanent (more like a strain really) but it absolutely STINKS like sawdust, it’s so weird! Doesn’t fade after the first wash either. Wouldn’t re-purchase.

Cotton Candy
I've been dying my hair for over six years now and I can't believe it's taken me so long to try Manic Panic out. The price put me off when I was younger, being a student I didn't really have the funds to buy these little tubs lacking harsh chemicals. It took me until quite recently to work out a lot of my headaches occurred on the days following dying my hair. This was definitely a whim but possibly the best one I've had in a long while. It's unscented, the perfect texture and an absolutely gorgeous colour when first applied. I'll admit, the colour (cotton candy) fades pretty quickly, I can manage three washes before my hair turns in to dusty peach with blonde streaks. The tubs only have enough to give two good applications (on medium length, prelightened hair) but the product is so good I think it's pretty worth it. If you have sensitive skin or just want to give your hair an ethical dose of colour, this is a really lovely product.

No colour pigment - Ultra violet
Shame but this one has no colour pigment. I've used manic panic previously and it's been great but this one was a waste of money.

Vibrant!
Very beautiful vibrant colour, stains everything it comes in contact with so use carefully, wear gloves and an old tshirt! Now have a highlighter pink fingerprint on my bathroom door frame 🤦🏼♀️ I managed to clean it enough that it’s subtle but it won’t go away. But it looks so good in my hair that I’ll be using it in the future and covering my bathroom in plastic covers and wearing a hazmat suit when I apply it 😂

This is the pink of all pinks
Really good product! Resistant to washed and very vibrant!!

I asked it on heavily bleached hair and not a single share of purple is visible. Never trying it again. I really had high hopes because I've used it's blue box . Today blue also stained everything but atleast it coloured my hair. This purple bottle did absolutely nothing!!!!!

Name brand (not a knockoff). Yes, amplified formula in tall bottle really is more vivid than the thinner solution in the tub. Bottle sucks though, too stiff to squeeze so you’ve gotta dump it in a bowl. It you haven’t dyed your hair bright before, bleach it first. Whether you have fresh bleach or not, put this color onto washed but not conditioned, and dry hair. Use latex or nitrile gloves (doctor or mechanic gloves) and prep your hairline and ears with Vaseline, wear crappy dark clothes - expect to get dye on your shoulders and arms. If it gets on your skin it can be scrubbed off with normal soaps but the longer it’s on, the harder to get off. Apply dye to hair like a leave in conditioner only more neatly, don’t be skimpy, or I you’ve done box dyes it’s the same concept - get it aaaallllll over every hair. Don’t panic about “wasting” dye left in the bottle, this stuff is shelf stable and doesn’t get all weird if you leave it like box dyes do... this isn’t mixed or blended at home, it really is like a conditioner. What’s in the one and only bottle is what goes on your hair, leftovers can be left in the bottle until you want to redye another day. Once applied, Leave on as long as you want, I recommend at least 45 min but I like to do over an hour. Wrapping your head with cling film will help keep it mess free as you go about your chores or whatever. In the shower it’s a total mess washing it off but that’s normal. Don’t bother washing or conditioning after it’s completely rinsed because this formula IS a conditioner. On bleached hair this color shows up really well and when it fades out it’s still cool. Every time you wash the color will fade, moreso if the water is hot. Hot tip, add some of this color to your conditioner (then leave in for as long as you can) for an anti-fade boost on wash days. It takes about two weeks so 3-4 washes from this to go from awesome hot pink to washed out faded pastel pinkish yellow on my bleached hair. I’ve tried a lot of other bright hair dyes over the decades and if you want cool color at home this (on bleached hair) is your best bet.

Listen. The colour is good. Pretty good. Honestly too good I would say. But it BLEEDS and STAINS like crazy. I recoloured my hair on Saturday and today is Wednesday and my hands are still pink. They got stained and then cleaned but this is the pink simply from combing my hair, not even obsessive running-my-hand-through-my-hair. So you need to prepare yourself mentally for the staining. This colour will get on everything till it gets washed out completely. It will get on your towel, it will get on your hairbrush, it will get on the back of the shirt you are wearing, it will get on your pillowcase, it will completely stain your back, your neck, your shoulders, your legs, your bathroom when you shampoo after applying the colour. So yeah, just know that you are making a commitment when you get this colour. You can see the photos of how the colour turned out on brownish black hair. The final colour will obviously depend on the level you've pre-lightened your hair to. It appears brighter outside and more grungy, muted dark red inside. Personally I absolutely loved how this turned out but I will not be purchasing again because of how much it stains. Super in love though, I'll be sad when this fades fully.
