Great option for vacuum bags, easy better than cheapie ones
These bags are pretty good; came in a variety of sizes, easy to use and were robust for the most part. I needed a lot of bags for an overseas move and didn't want my clothes or shoes getting damp and mouldy while on a shipping container. I ended up buying two variety packs and then a single jumbo/large pack. The variety was really helpful with each bag size being useful for specific needs (ie jumbo for coats or blankets, or the small size for pants, nickers socks etc.). This helped keep things separate so that it will be easier on the other end. The mechanism is easy to use (like a giant zip lock), you just use a blue "key" and is it can and forth across the zip a few times while pinching it to get a seal, then use a vacuum to suck the air out of a valve on the side, to which you then screw on a cap to close it off. I recommend coming back in 12 hours to ensure the bag hasn't reinflated as that happened a few times. Of around 38 bags only one failed, with a small tear forming just beneath the zip. I'm not sure if the problem was user error or a defect in the bag. By comparison, from a set of cheap ikea vacuum seal bags the failure rate seemed like 1 in four. With only one failure that was possibly my fault anyways it was hardly worth asking for a replacement, but it sure looks like the company are happy to do that if you wanted. I did find it hard to know how many I would need, as I had three separate orders, so maybe they could offer better guidance. Failing that, just give yourself lots of time or buy extra and then return them. I did see a few instances of moisture forming when some bags had been left in the sun (after sealing). You can combat this with moisture satchels, I just wish I'd know in advance. What I liked - Variety - Simple to use - Seem robust What I didn't like - Hard to estimate how many you would need - One broke - Need moisture satchels

Bargain! Great product!
Great product. Exactly as described. 4 big bags and 4 smaller bags. However, the smaller size is already quite big size (as you can see on the photos) so you will definitely fit a lot into them. The smaller bag is exactly half the size of the big one. The plastic is stronger than the ones I have seen at the shops and the air-in-out system works brilliantly. The pump that comes along with it does a great job and even when you don't have a vacuum cleaner handy, it doesn't take too long to get the air out. I love the clipper that is added to seal the bag even better. Does the job really well. I have added some photos of the product. The bag on the pictures is the smaller bag so just imagine two of them to get the idea of the big one. I put my 13" macbook pro for you to see a comparison of the size. And I used the hand pump provided to get rid of the air. Happy with my product. Definitely worth the price as single bags at the Wilko's already cost quite a bit (up to 8 pounds for 2 XL bags), so it's a bargain!!!!! In addition the seller is very nice and offers any help one should need right away (not that I needed any help, but they emailed me with information right away, very efficient). Great communication. Quality 5* Size 5* extras 5* Communication 5*

Great Idea for space saving
I decided to purchase this to make the most of my hand luggage allowance. The bags were quite straightforward to pack and seal, offering good value for money as they came in three sizes. I opted for this brand specifically for the variety of three different bag sizes, which proved to be very convenient. Additionally, I was able to efficiently optimize the space in my wardrobe, as many more items could be stored away once vacuum-packed. The sole issue I encountered was with the manual pump provided. Had it come with an electric pump, I would have rated it four stars.

Need some space? Bag it all up.
These bags are perfect. I've never had vacuum pack storage bags, so knew nothing about them. The company founder sent me an email with very good tips (I did not ask for advice, so was pleasantly surprised by the customer service attention to detail) I followed these pointers, one of which stated that, although this family company give us buyers a little hand pump along with the 8 bags, it is quicker to use a vacuum to expell the air. However, I wanted to use the pump (useful if you don't fancy getting the vaccum out) so after packing all my winter jumpers, got working with the pump. It took only a minute and the bag was greatly reduced in size. I packed it away. After 2 hours, I checked on it and noticed some air had got back in, the bag was much less shrivelled. I wondered if I had not gone over the ziplock seal properly, so I ran the little sealing peg over it 3 more times, this time pressing my fingers to the peg harder and running right off both ends of the sealing track ( I think that was my mistake the first time, NOT going right over the edges) I pumped out the air again, and next morning found that this time, it WAS still flat and airless, 13 hours later. I never thought I would be so pleased to see something so hard, flat and wrinkled. These bags hold a lot of stuff, so no need to over-stuff them, you do want to make sure you can seal it without straining the seal. Don't panic if you find some air has got back in, it just means your seal was not pressed down correctly and you must do it again, which only takes seconds anyway. Remember not to overfill, no need as you get 4 medium bags and 4 large. Both sizes are capacious and strong. I packed all my large winter woolies (more than 12, I lost count!), 3 pairs of jogging bottoms, and 2 pairs of jeans into just one medium bag and was amazed to see how these items, which hogged 6 drawers (and all my chairs, not to mention a largish table) were suddenly sitting harmlessly, out of sight, in a few inches of space, my visitors will think I have thrown away all my clothes. Now my uncontrolled impulses for clothes shopping and having a clothing-clutter-free home is a reality. The best thing I have bought in years...apart from the clothes, of course. Today I shall be making my spare sets of bedding vanish into thin air{less bag} and still be nowhere near 3 bags full!

Useful for Travel, But Not a True Vacuum Seal
I have very mixed feelings about this product. When I first bought it, I didn’t realise it didn’t have a valve or circular opening for a hoover to remove the air and create a proper vacuum seal. Instead, the system works by sealing the bag and then manually rolling it to push the air out. Naturally, this doesn’t give the same level of tightness or compression that you’d get with a hoover. At first, I even tried putting the hoover hose near the seal to suck the air out before closing it quickly — but it’s not ideal and doesn’t work the same. That said, the upside is clear: if you’re travelling and don’t have access to a vacuum, you can still compress your clothes and remove most of the air just by rolling. It won’t be as tight, but it’s good enough to save space. So yes, I do use these bags when travelling — especially now that luggage space is getting smaller and smaller — and they’ve been quite handy. But in an ideal world, these bags would have both features: the ability to roll and a valve for a hoover. If a product like that exists, I’d absolutely buy it instead. Maybe it was my fault for not reading the description properly, but I wasn’t fully aware they were roll-up only. Overall, they’re useful and functional, just not exactly what I expected.
