Excellent book
Great buy. I wanted to learn anatomy ahead of a sports therapy course and this book has helped loads. It's easy to use and great online resources can be used along side with reference to the book. I would definatly recommend this book.

Superb resource for anyone in any field of sports therapy. Full of information and pictures and, most importantly for me, it's easy to follow. Has quickly become one of the first items that goes into my treatment bag.

A must have for anyone who is studying A&P
This is a must have for anyone involved in bodywork. Biel takes massive quantities of learning and makes it feel easy and simple by breaking everything down into bite size bits. Well written and well presented!

Great tool for anyone in need of knowing muscular and skeletal anatomy. Extremely useful for sports massage therapists.... or any kind of massage for that matter. Clear drawings and palpation tips. Muscle origins, insertions and action and more. Money well spent.

Stick with the initial learning curve and be rewarded
I didn't get on with the Trail Guide at first, I found myself turning to other books that better explained the location of anatomical landmarks using photos. As a result I missed out for a while on the excellent tit-bits in this book for a while. For example, the description of the rotator cuff muscles is brilliant - no amount of description in other text books can substitute for the simple diagram on page 75. The individual muscle pages are good and sensibly grouped into functional areas. As a revision and coursework guide the "Synergists" pages are useful reference, but the presentation is dry and not ideal for learning. The 5th edition added a section on trigger points. I'm not sure that really adds much, so if you can find a 4th edition cheaply go for it.

I really hate to sound like a broken record, but this is an excellent learning book! It is just chocked full of easy to understand illustrations with labeled and highlighted body parts. Short and to the point examples of how something works in normal everyday life are extremely helpful and will help to reinforce the basic lessons. The book is divided into logical sections with an easy to use guide for following along and getting the most from the lessons. This book provides an in-depth view of our bodies, primarily the bony structures and musculature, but does touch on blood vessels and nerves too. Included is information on trigger points, muscle attachment and a glossary of terms. All in all, this is a great value for the $50.40 price tag. I also ordered the workbook and will be reviewing that as well.

Superbe, je suis très contente de mon achat. J’avais beaucoup hésité mais je suis très heureuse de l’avoir finalement commandé. Le format spirale le rend très agréable à lire.

As a physiotherapy student, this book was my SAVING GRACE. Litterally. All the pictures were in color. It detailed tips and tricks for palpation and location of landmarks (muscles, bones, tendons), and gave a step by step to finding them with patient position alternatives, as well as mnemonics to memorize them. It also considered female and male anatomical differences which I was impressed by. Honestly, if you're a Kin, an Osteopath, a Physio, or most of any health care professional, do get this book. It's like a mix of the netter's and a guide as well. It gives you a recap of all your anatomical structures with pictures, including innervations, origins, insertions, etc. Packaging: Item arrived quickly with Amazon Prime and 100% intact
