I decided to buy this to practice my strikes for Muay Thai and even Kendo. I was dubious about this because the base chassis looked very big in some of the review videos I've seen, however I was pleasantly surprised it was small enough so that I can move around it. It's definitely 6ft as I stand at 166cm so it's definitely got the height I want to practice against, especially in a small space I haven't got any concerns this will be hitting the ceiling unless your ceiling is smaller than 6ft in distance from the ground in which case tough luck. The leather itself is pretty darn good, there's a good level of resistance whilst it still does react to the blows you can give it. The targets are a seriously good addition and some people may just want to focus on strike points rather than unga-bunga on the bag. The sturdiness is there and especially since I practice Muay Thai, this does get a very huge beating. It's not a heavy bag by any means but it's got enough in there to assist conditioning whatever you wish. I filled this up with water and for the most part it does stay quite level. It doesn't move around much and you've also got suction cups if you want to ensure there's a level of stability there. If you're really worried about these freestanding bags moving about use 80% and 20% sand or just fill it halfway with sand - it won't be moving otherwise. The assembly was very simple, it came with all I needed including an extra set of screws washers in case any go missing - it's simple as plotting the bag into the chassis and then screwing it down. If you're like me who has no space to keep it indoors, you can store it outside and just ensure every now and again you lube the metal parts to prevent rusting (WD-40 or mineral oil works fine). The markings of the targets are coming off slowly but that's just general wear and tear and I've yet to come across any problems with this. Definitely a worthy investment if you cannot get a hanging bag, and a great alternative to the Wavemaster XXL which arguably this product rivals that. For the price I got it for at about £140, I'm thoroughly satisfied. NOTE: The delivery is split up into two different deliveries because of size and weight constraints so just be aware of that when you do purchase this. Now go out there and keep on training.

After a long and frustrating search , I managed to get myself this wonderful piece of kit. At first I was a bit nervous after reading the mixed reviews; but then took a chance in view of the affordable price ( compared to other websites). Having been using it for about two weeks now , I can honestly say I have no regrets. I am back into my Taekwondo kicks and punches. My kicks are getting heigher, aimed and power is measured. It is very sturdy but do require a little bit of patience to set it up properly. It took me 30 mins to set it up including filling the sand which was unfortunately wet. I had to buy a saw(for one pound ) and make the hole bigger as the damp sand would not filter in the hole...see pictures. It was all well worthy. I filled it with 8 x 15 kg sand and it was fully packed and sturdy !! I did not put water as it might wooble as per other reviews ! The product was meant to be delivered on Saturday , but was so surprised when it arrived 5 days early !! Really impressed with delivery . Very happy so far as this 6 feet punch stand is perfect for high/low kicks.

The stitching on the bag is good, and a lot better than I anticipated. Hoping this will make it last. The leather looks decent quality too. The bag can be removed from the base, so you can keep the bag indoors during bad weather (if you’re using it outside). The base is wide enough to provide reasonable sturdiness, but narrow enough to be able to get close to the bag and work on the inside. This was one of my worries when purchasing, but thankfully it’s not a problem at all. The only bad point for me is the filling up of the base. I used water, and it still moves somewhat when punching. I use it outside and keep it in a shed when not using it, so filling with sand and making it so heavy that I can’t move it isn’t an option. I can push it myself when it’s filled with water, but I don’t think this would be possible with sand. Even so, the amount of sand you would need would be extremely expensive

Present for 18 year old. Arrived on time and easy to assemble. Used 80 kg dried kiln sand. Easy to put in, which we did before rest of assembly. It remains stable when punched full pelt. Had read other reviews so was a bit concerned wouldn’t be robust, but it is sturdy.

This seller is absolutely awful. Sold me a product that had missing bolts making it UNUSABLE, and then claimed to have sent me replacement bolts which I never received. This seller refuses to give me a refund even though I am offering for them to organise a collection to take the item back. Furthermore, when I first asked for a collection and refund, the seller actually completely disregarded my request and told me to wait for the bolts to come, basically forcing me to keep the rubbish item. I’ve examined the item myself, and as an engineering student, I can literally tell that this will not hold up the amount of force and impact it was intended to handle. The cheaply built plastic base will easily crack if you hit the bag too hard, as the whole design behind this ‘detachable bag’ literally means it SITS inside a hole on the base, on a steel pole, and is expected to not slowly wear down the rubbery middle section. Furthermore, the design also is flawed in many other ways, such as how the bolts only connect the middle section to the plastic base, but yet the only way the bag is held in place, is by sitting inside its hole, and relies on the pole in the core of the bag to bare all the forces. The bolts literally will do nothing to benefit the bag, so I don’t even see why they bothered making two sections for the base, it only increases the weak spots, so eventually the middle section will shear the bottom section, causing the entire base to crack. I’ve seen many other reviews showcasing this exact problem. Please stay clear of this seller! As of writing this review, I can see the seller has removed their 6ft bag from Amazon. Maybe they’ve received too much criticism and have decided to redesign the product, or maybe they have finally finished their little scandal run to rip people off by selling a poorly designed product for a premium price. Anyways, if you are reading this review, I hope you take good thought into buying these sort of products my friend, please stay clear of these beautifully advertised and promoted products, because in the end they are the ones that don’t perform very well.

I bought this looking to rekindle my love for kicking, after almost 4 years off from taekwondo (after 16 years of training)… Delivery-wise, I was not impressed: normally a quicker delivery than advertised would be welcome… I ordered it in the early hours of 20th July, with an expected delivery of 28th July. This was fine, as I wasn't going to be home again 'til the 23rd. However, they (TNT?) apparently attempted delivery on the 21st & again on the 22nd, according to the 2 slips I found when I got home! Not too big a deal, as they had an option to arrange another date for delivery… set this for the 26th, since it said 25th wasn't possible, plus we weren't going to be in on the 25th. Long story longer: we were in after all & heard a slip being put through the door, saying we weren't in for the delivery! By the time we got to the door, the delivery van was speeding away! Luckily / bizarrely, he'd given the 2 boxes to our neighbour, since they were in their front garden at the time. Boxes were fairly mangled, but the stand & bag appeared to be fine, thankfully. Ok, as for the actual product: it seems decent. I'm pretty big (6' & 90kg) & pack a fair whack, yet even for my first few light turning kicks it was rocking with water in the base, so I will be filling it with sand ASAP. The bag indented quickly in the middle from the repeated kicks, so I'll be keeping an eye on how well it holds up to months of punishment. I am already contemplating reinforcing it with a chest protector, but we'll see.

Son loves it. ( and he's a 6ft4in power house) Very sturdy. Used 4 bags of sand rather than water and the floor grips to steady it.

Arrived promptly and 6 days before delivery window ended (Nice!). Good quality leather bag. Heavier than I anticipated. Great for Thai kicking and high enough at 6ft for tae kwon do axe kicking practice as i can hit the top downwards without risk of injury. Quality of build and stitching is nice and solid on this finish. Even with an empty base you can jab cross this bag lightly for range practice. Base is a little clumsy for toe clipping when close range boxing practice. Recommend a soft thin cover over the solid steel hole the bag rests in. Just incase you round kick a little low by accident. I am 6ft even and 196 lbs (14 stone) 89kg and this bag takes my full mid side and round kick no probs. PS. I'm no beginner ;)
