Nice toilet seat
Easy to install. Love the easy pop off feature for cleaning. So much easier than trying to clean under the back and around the attachment points. Slow close is nice- no dropped lids and loud bangs.

Sturdy seat with soft-close feature for seat and lid!
This is a review for the KOHLER 4636-RL-0 Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat. The Good: Everything. The Bad: The instructions. The Ugly: Seriously, the instructions. The Kohler ReadyLatch toilet seat is a really nice piece of work. It features a slow, soft-closing lid and seat as well. The material is plastic, but it has a good thickness and feels very firm under me when I sit down. I'm 6'2" and 280lbs currently, and there's not even any flex from the seat as I sit down. *Very* sturdy, indeed. The color is a basic white, just like the porcelain on most toilets, so it matches just fine. I have to give props to their packaging. Before you even open the package, it shows you the measurements and warns you to double check and make sure it'll fit on your toilet (and that you didn't order the wrong shape for your toilet!). That being said, the only downside was the instructions - there really wasn't much of any. I've taken off and put on a lot of toilet seats in my time, and they're all pretty straight forward - pop the tab on the top, grab the nut on the underside, use a screw driver to unscrew the plastic bolt from the nut, repeat on the other side, and job's halfway done. Reverse it to install. No problem, right? Wrong! This Kohler had a rubber encased wing nut with a tube that flared out at the end into a flat donut. What...the...okay! Let's check instructions...uhhh...nope...okay, *sigh* let's ask the Internet. Bingo. After hunting around the first couple search results, I found a gentleman installing one - on YouTube. I had to sit through five minutes of someone talking about their toilet and the seat, how their seat had a crack in it, etc etc etc, until suddenly he shows me the secret! FOLD THE WINGNUT SIDEWAYS AGAINST THE TUBE, SLIP IT DOWN THROUGH THE BOLT HOLE ON THE TOILET!!! After that, the install was very simple and straight forward. Position the toilet seat over the two bolt holes (now with a rubber tube installed and a wing nut hanging down on the other side) and install the two bolts that come with the lid. Final Thoughts: I've been using it now for a bit, and I have to say - it's different from my other lids, but I really like the design, fit and the angle of it. It's comfortable, but not "sit on the pot and watch funny cat videos" comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's competitively priced, and well worth the money.

The best toilet seat so far!! Better than the wood ones and very strong and sturdy.
Premium toilet seat!!! Thick plastic. Not thin and flimsy like the ones that come with a cheap toilet. Closes soft. But the best part are the connections. Steel hardware, a nicely engineered way to attach the seat. It doesn’t come loose like most. Even under heavy load. Easy to clean and won’t break like the synthetic wood ones do. The small rubber fear truly keep the seat from moving. Just a really great seat. Well worth the money.

Perfect toilet seat!
Definitely an upgrade from the typical wooden seats I use buy. The color is perfect, it fits perfectly, installation was easy. I love the hinge style and the style of the lid, makes it a bit fancy. Doesn't slam closed and doesn't smack open on the tank lid when you lift the seat. Would have given it 5 stars but it was pricey!

Great seat matches my Kohler bathroom!
Before and after photo included. Just bought a house and old owners had a wooden seat 🙃 I bought one of these in almond and one in sandbar because I wasn’t sure what color it was. The sandbar color ended up being a perfect match! I was reluctant because of the reviews about durability, but I really wanted to color to match, and so far the plastic seems thick and all parts seem sturdy. I’ll update if this changes. It was very easy to install. I love the soft close and it is very comfortable to sit on.

Very nice lid!
Really nice commode seat! I decided to go with plastic-vs-wood. The last 2 I had were wood, neither lasted a year before the paint started rubbing off under the seat. Made it look like it was dirty all the time. I imagine cleaning products were the culprit. However If I cant use a disenfectant on a toilet, what good is it? This lid is self close, shiny and easy to clean. Seems quite sturdy as well. I Replaced it myself in 10 minutes (67 single woman)

Metal screws and comfortable design
Assembly easy & Secure. I picked it because the screws were made of Metal! Not the plastic ones that strip & wear out! I also like the indentation design for comfortable fit 😊

Nice Product
Clearly a quality product from Kohler. Easy install and nice design. Great slow close mechanism. The only thing is that I wish the gray was a little lighter. The gray that is used looks more like a taupe.

When I woke this morning, I didn't know that changing my broken toilet seat will be the highlight of my day. I had received the new one a few days ago and I was too lazy to do it right away. So the box stayed there, looking at me and begging for attention everytime I passed by. At one point, I was feeling guilty but you know, I had a lot of things to do, like watching a 485th episode online and watch a tutorial on how to make a swan with a face tissue.. So when I decided that today was THE day, it was obvious that the new toilet seat was super excited to finally be able to do his job. I started to remove the old one, which was pretty simple. I did the unboxing of the new one with a lot of expectations. Like "are we gonna have the same chemistry than with the other one?", "does the new one will support me everyday like the old one?".. Finally, after 5 minutes, the new one was in place and I stepped back to see the result. To be honest, I was totally amazed on how easy it was to change it. The fit was perfect, the quality was great. That was clearly one of the most satisfying thing to do. I was even thinking about undo everything just to do it again. And maybe keep the old one for the days that I feel useless, so I can do it again and have the feeling that I have accomplished something that not a lot of people could do... You know.. it takes some specific skills to change a toilet seat........! Seriously, I didn't know what to write as a positive review, so I decided to go all in. I had a bit of time to kill in the train on my way to work. This product is a no-brainer, easy to install, and the "quiet-close seat" is definitely a must have. I paid 41$, pretty the same price as in store. It wasn't available in store for the moment, so that's why I ordered it on Amazon.

Good Elongated Seat. Fits the old Kohler Portrait Toilet pan well. But the Kohler Lustra Elongated is a better shape fit to the Portrait Toilet - although arguably this is a better toilet seat. I have two Kohler Portrait Toilets and bought one of these and one Lustra Toilet Seat (the Lustra is twice the price). I won’t change this Cachet toilet seat for the moment as it’s acceptable. But next time I’ll pay the extra for the Lustra toilet seat. Even though this one is a slightly better product.
