The item arrived in a nice efficient package and was easily unpacked. Adjusting the strap is very straightforward and, once suitably modified, the strap is comfortable to wear after the initial shock of the cool pads passes. I found pairing the device to both the polar apps and the QZ app I use for my spin bike very straightforward and have had no issues with the device being automatically picked up on subsequent workouts. I bought this primarily for the reliability of the monitoring and open nature of conenction (i.e. being able to easily pair it to third party apps/devices) and I'm happy this has lived up to the promise on both counts. The monitoring element is more accurate than the optical monitor I had in my Pixel watch so I'm happy that my workouts are now being more accurately tracked and heart zone based training is more easily tracked now. The Polar apps themselves seem a bit rudimentary but, as noted, you don't have to use them for anything meaningful besides adjusting device settings and applying updates. That's going to be such an infrequent activity that I'm not counting it against the device. At the sale price of ~£60 this is an easy recommendation to anyone needing an open, accurate HR monitor.

Great device until somebody mislaid the strap for me but still works OK with chinese generic strap.

I use this for two Polar apps and EliteHRV. It fits well, certainly no worse than any other chest straps. It connects quickly when worn. I use this to monitor heart rate variability using EliteHRV and to monitor my heart rate during exercise using the Polar Flow app. It transmits data to cardio machines so I can see my heart rate on the machine display without holding the handles. For the most part it works really well; though it has dropped the most of one exercise session and has been spotty in another - I’d have been happier if the app recognised and drew my attention to it but it just carried on as if everything was fine. It’s frustrating but one session in probably one hundred so it’s nothing to dwell on. The information uploads to an accessible website so I can view the sessions on a bigger screen later on, but the site is simultaneously clunky and basic at the same time. I’d really like Polar to rework this. There’s nothing that suggests to me that the measurements are inaccurate, getting non-smoothed data from EliteHRV makes me confident that the device is very accurate. There’s room for improvement, but if I had to pick again I’d still want one and I’d choose this over any alternatives.

Polar is just amazing. Close your eyes and go for this one. For any extreme activity just ditch your watche's monitor and use this one as it gives perfect reading unlike wrist based. Quality of strap is great.looks cool, especially in red .battery life is amazing. Get it at a discount if you can.

Working perfectly as expected. Seamless connection with Bike computer(Coospo BC200) as well as Smartphone (iOS as well as Android). Smooth tracking of heart rate by Strava, Adidas Running, Polar Beats & Polar Flow apps. Upon registering through Polar Flow app additional 1yr warranty is offered along with existing 2yrs warranty. Compared heart rate with optical sensor based sports watch (Galaxy 4 and Garmin). Heart rate readings fluctuates on watch due to optical sensors whereas with ECG based Polar it’s stable. Used it while cycling with Road bike & kept monitoring heart rate on bike computer. Comfortable strap & glitch free functioning. Polar is unbeatable brand.

Good product when it works. But has connectivity issues

I bought this over for my wife as I already have the exact same Polar. They work great and can say no problems at all hooking them up to the Concept2 rower. Great data in the app as well 👍
