This is a great value for the money. It gives you what you need. But there is no box
Like most people, I only needed a little bit of polishing compound kit. Just enough to do some occasional chores. This gave me the polishing compound that I needed in a size that was useful. The pieces are large enough to easily use. There well-made. They don't crumble. In the product is good. The downside is that they come in a plastic package and there's no way to store the items when you're done. It would've been nice if they had put a little plastic or wooden case in their to keep the items clean and stored separately. I was end up shoving these items into a drawer and wish I had a simple case to put them back in to keep them from being damaged

Product Description Lacking
The Amazon and vendor information on this product is lacking. Amazon should include the picture of the back of the packaging as shown in my photo. I was looking only to polish steel, but was unsure so I order this set. OnceI received, I realized I only needed the black. I recommend that if you are looking to polish one particular metal, that you buy just the polishing stick you need, and not the full set. Even the Enkay website was not clear on which color applies to which metal. So I bought three extra sticks that I don't really need at this time, so thats why my value rating is low. The sticks are easy to use, but you do need a buffing wheel. As other commenters have noted, this is a stick of hard, wax like substance and you apply it directly to the buffing wheel as its rotating and you are polishing the part, The picture of the polished item was a very rusted knob from an old South Bend lathe. You can still see some of the pits from the rust, but the Enkay black stick and buffing wheel did remove the rust and it polished up nicely and has a nice shine now.

Lifetime supply.
This is the perfect lifetime set of buffing compounds for someone like me who started with green. My only gripe is the packaging. An individual bar comes in a box, but with the set of four you get a useless plastic clamshell case and no boxes. I'll have to make something.

Decent Quality Buffing Compounds for Brass Instruments
Stays crunchy, even in milk. Very tasty. Okay, that was a lie. This stuff is not as effective as the big bricks from Allied, but for a home shop they do okay for buffing brass instruments. I really only use the red rouge and the Tripoli compound for brass, but I have use the black and white for stuff, too. All work pretty well. When I get my Ferree's floor-mounted buffing machine I will move to the larger, higher quality bricks. For now with my little stand-mounted Harbor Freight buffer this stuff works really well and the price is right.

IT WORKS
This is a decent set of polishing media. It works really well on polishing the aluminum on my motorcycle. There is a good range of abrasiveness. It comes with quite a lot of the media too. I liked it.

A lifetime supply?
I don't pay attention to product weights or dimensions in Amazon descriptions because they are frequently wrong -- or pointless. They often tell you the shipping weight or size of the packaging, rather than the product itself. As a result I did not note how huge these things are. Five inches long by one-inch square. That's a lot of compound! This is sized for a machine shop. For a casual crafter, this is probably a lifetime supply. Given the price this is good value for money. I don't like the packaging at all. It would be better if each of the four blocks had its own plastic sheath -- or if the overall "display packaging" were a bit more compact, so that it could be used as a carrying case.

Great kit!
If you are serious about fine finishing your blades/tools, this is the kit that will help you make that happen! Very consistent outcomes using each step. I have used with Dremel polishing disks with very nice results. Also, used to restore old saws by hand rubbing with microfiber cloths. Outstanding results! Very happy with this product!
