Good support from excellent English speaker in China.
Working well with a weak mobile signal although some atmospheric conditions stop any signal. An inexpensive solution for rural Internet.

OPPO Router.
This is a terrific Router which has 2.4G and 5G capability. I myself am using it with a GoMo SIM Card and I am experiencing up to 688 mbps, which is a terrific broadband speed. I can't understand why I didn't purchase this Router a couple of years ago, as I had been advised to do many times, because I had my broadband coming in on my phone's landline which was only realising 3.5mbps at its best. Also, I got rid of my landline phone and my service provider which has enabled me to make a large saving every month.

Simply awful.
Ive tried a few of these mobile routers out over the years. They all ranged from excellent to meh. This one is by far the worst. First, let's talk about speed. When it does connect to the APN, the speeds are comparable to internet that you would have gotten around 2005. Simply not good enough for something that is supposed to be the very latest in tech. Unplugging this, and plugging in my TCL I was back up to 600Mbps straight away with no fuss. Plugged this back in, and 8Mbps if it was lucky. The APN. Theres something wrong there. It connects, shows SMARTY(£16 a month for unlimited data at 600Mbps is pretty darn good. Especially when you consider theres no contract) works for around 5 minutes. Then disconnects and needs a hard reset to connect again. It's just not good at all. WIFI. Wifi seemed a bit iffy as well. With the 5ghz SSID showing up long after the 2.4ghz SSID. Why? Dont know. It just does. Only positive I can think of is that on each reboot, the router did boot up really fast. Ive had some routers from Netgear that take a few minutes to reboot. But this was 30 seconds give or take. So I guess thats what the one star will be for. User interface is fine. Not bad, not good. Just fine. Theres no options to change here. You get what the router gives you and thats your wack. If you connect to a BAND 20 50 miles away, but theres a BAND 3 right next door. Tough. Youre stuck on the BAND 20. My TCL doesnt allow band selection either, but at least it prioritises the best BAND for the best connection. Maybe Oppo can implement something like that in a firmware update. But at £400 I expected better right out of the box. It didnt have to hit 600Mbps, but 8??? Thats just awful. This internet strangers advice is stay away. It looks really nice, probably the best looking mobile router Ive seen thus far. But you dont buy something like this for the looks. You buy it to get the best internet experience. And sadly, this just doesnt have it. That could all change with a firmware update, but I will never know. As Im returning it.

Great device, but.........
Great device, but kept losing signal in area where other devices didnt. Dropped out a couple of times a day. Relocating it didn't help. Other similar devices had no issues

Allow me to explain to you exactly what this device actually is...
It is a over priced wireless routers with sim functionality so bad it's 5G standalone feature dosent work and it's 4G signal is mediocre, every single review that is talked about it's wireless range is correct, it's designed to be terrible. There is zero benefit to buying this, it is only a significantly wire version and convenience of a few devices at once, all for quite a truly grotesque price tag, considering how bad it is.

product is delivering the promise. it has better reception of 5G than flagship 5G phone on the same network in the same location. easy setup, just put the sim card and power on. Update after a month of usage: Once you install UAE sim card the router will upgrade firmware, probably to uae specific one which is limoting wifi strength. In my home environment router is behind 2 wooden doors, 3m far and 5Ghz wifi signal is not visible for mobile devices. In the firmware i say one very useful feature is missing: "band-steering"

Bravo Oppo.
