Works exactly how described! I work at night and sleep during the day and it keeps more than enough light out for me, at a great price, and is easy to install and uninstall. Pretty great for apartments.

I was skeptical with claims of 100% blackout while being portable and DIY, but they did not disappoint! The window in my girls' room let in so much light. During the summer, my eight year old would wake at 5am and all year my two year old would wake after only a short nap. I measured and cut out a piece and sure enough the room is so dark! I also have enough left over to do other rooms, I just haven't yet. My girls sleep so much better now! I haven't used the portable aspect of the product yet, as I just needed it to stay put, but with the sticky-velcro pads I'm sure it would come off and on with ease. Definitely recommend, so much cheaper than buying new blinds and they work actually better than the blackout roller blinds we had made special for our room A+

For the price, it is great. It doesn't have magnets but the "glues" I used fulfilled my need. The size is great since you can cut the size you need. They definitely are blackout curtains and you don't need to be afraid of buying - you won't see any lights coming from the outside. The color is accurate and gives a perfect sense of privacy. I liked it!

When I first unboxed the curtains, I was a little thrown off at the fact that they’re not typical “curtain” fabric material and instead a flimsy feeling welded plastic fabric sheet. They are very thin, so I don’t think that it’s reasonable to expect any insulating properties (like reflectix). HOWEVER, the durability and overall function of them is great. While they may not be insulating at all, the silver side is very reflective and the curtains were cool to the touch on a sunny day. They are easy to trim and the edges don’t fray at all after cutting. I’m actually shocked at how strong the material is; it feels super flimsy but it took a huge amount of effort to get it to tear or stretch. It also packs down very small which is a plus. They’re about as blackout as a blackout curtain could be. The Velcro included sticks incredibly well and I haven’t had any issues with it so far. If you are purchasing this with the sole purpose of a blackout window covering that has good solar rejection properties, then I think you’ll be really happy with these. If you want something that has more of an insulating factor, then you will probably have better luck with reflectix. I’m using these for a privacy window covers in my truck camper and I think they serve their purpose very well.

The installation was easy. I didn't cut it to fit exactly on the left upper corner. But I don't mind. But if you're a perfectionist just be aware of the cut. The only thing is your window from the outside looks tacky with a straight up black gray plastic leather square in your face 🤷‍♀️. Mine is facing the backyard so idc i wouldn't put it in my front yard windows. It works better than the black out curtains . I'm going to add curtains but not for blackout but for decoration/design so thats awesome. If you need your room to be like night time at 1pm this is it!!!

As far as blocking out light, these do the job adequately. BUT they are just a thin vinyl material similar to a cheap shower curtain and while they are completely opaque they also trap in all the heat if you have a south/southwest facing window (it does have a silver colored side that does nothing to reflect sunlight). While we're happy with the light blocking aspect, the temperature in the room has gone up almost unbearably. Not sure I can fully recommend.

I stayed at a air b n b with room darkening curtains a few weeks ago, and had wonderful sleep, and i have been trying to get that same experience in my bedroom with out all the costs involved in thick fabric. I think I found what will have to be good enough in these black out shades. they are removable and can be easily stored if I don't want to keep them up. if I did a better job at cutting the shade and securing it to the wall, they would completely block the light. however, I am not a pro at installation. But for the price, somewhat easy set up and quick delivery, I recommend them to anyone looking for a similar expectations. They darken the room enough.

These were so easy to install and extremely effective. My baby’s nursery has blackout curtains but they don’t lay flush with the wall, so some light creeps out at the top and sides. I figured it was worth it to try this product after a few difficult naps and early mornings. I trimmed them haphazardly because I was in a hurry, so they were still a little too big for the window, but I went on anyway. I also forgot to clean the outside of the window frame. But the little clear, sticky circles worked anyway. I adhered the top, then one side of the material as straight as I could, and worked my way down the other side to keep the material tight. I used 9 sticky circles; one on top, 4 on each side. I skipped a bottom circle because I still have half the material left and may want to block a window when we travel so I’m bringing it along, and the blinds held that extra material down anyway. The material is lightweight, but definitely blocks out light. I would have posted a picture…. But there would be nothing to see. I work nightshift and will likely buy this again to use in my room for my day sleeps!

Easy to install with the double sided tape with velcro. Easy to take down in the morning, and paste back up at night. Overall an affordable solution to a blackout room. Cuts out some decibels from outside aswell.

I returned this item, but still wanted to write a review. The reason for returning is that it the material has a very plastic feel. Best analogy is to compare this to a very thin, cheap, plastic shower curtain. Similar feel and doesn't look good. Aside from the aesthetics I was worried about whether the heat from the sun would melt the material.

I will be traumatized trying to walk in the night with my windows are covered by these curtains unless I get some light from my mobile!.. Most cheap, no construction activities or nailing into the walls needed, durable, Very practical and easy to use as long it fit covering the whole windows windows..

Easy to apply to the windows and perfect to block out the light. My partner loves them.

Cheap, flimsy and doesnt blackout sunlight. Sunlight gets through
