PATPET Dog Training Collar with Remote (Dark Grey)

I’m so impressed with this training collar! The remote is simple to use and the different modes make it easy to correct behavior without being harsh. The vibration and tone options work great — I haven’t even needed to use the shock setting. The battery life lasts for days, and the range is awesome for yard training. My dog listens so much better now and is happier too. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a reliable, safe training collar!

This is the perfect collar to use to maintain control over your dog. Our dog sometimes can get into garbage left our local park, or be lured into an unsafe space, or just manifest a behavior we don't like (such as barking at guests in our home)...with a gentle beep, our Bubba immediately runs back to our side and stops the unwanted behavior. Bubba now just sees us take the remote out and can stop the unwanted behavior before we even press anything. We have recommended this collar to many friends and everyone thinks its a godsend. Its also super convenient because the remote is sleek and easy to carry -- not bulky and cumbersome like some other kinds -- you'll see in my pic below, I can carry my coffee and leash and let the remote hang from my wrist. Highly recommend!

I've bought this same collar for my two dogs. They run in the woods near my home and it's been a great asset to be able to call them back or keep them from running after something unsafe for them. They respond well to it. It's been very easy to use and to charge. Remote is easy to keep handy and use as we walk, even with both dogs.

It has been impossible to train my 2 year old dog to stop barking at everything outside. He would lose his mind barking out the window all day long and nothing helped until this! He literally learned the “quiet” command after 1 day of just using the vibrate function on the collar - I don’t think we’ll even need to go up to a shock. Most days go by now without even needing to vibrate the collar, that’s how well it’s worked with him!! He’s like a brand new dog that’s easy going and can actually relax. It is very easy to size and get on and off and is like a regular flat collar to him since we didn’t set up the pegs for shocking.

We bought one of these over a year ago and it worked really well with our one year-old border collie that needed some training and didn’t listen very well. That one wore out so we got this one. Perhaps they just only last a year. It has effectively helped a great deal with training. Wish it lasted a little longer.

This unit does everything it says. Battery life is amazing! Literally lasting for days. It's very easy to use. It has a feature where it can use it for one or two dogs at a time. You can adjust the intensity of the shock, although we NEVER have to, because the vibrating beep is all he needs to redirect him to something else. We use it everyday because Rocky is a Beabull. Half Beagle and half English Bulldog, which translates to being so STUBBORN. This should be his middle name! And THAT'S an understatement to say the least! The unit is a great value for the money and the collar fits small to big necks, collar IS waterproof, but remote control is NOT. This has calmed my nerves so much that I actually like my dog now.🤣

When I rescued my husky from a place where he had no socialization and behaved almost like a wild wolf, it was extremely difficult to train him. He wouldn’t listen, wasn’t predictable, and was very destructive. When I ordered this collar and put it on him, it completely changed everything. For the first time, I was able to let him off-leash while hiking with my other dogs. To my absolute surprise, when I pressed the vibration button, he actually came back to me instead of running away! Normally, the more I called him, the farther he would go—but this time, as soon as he felt the vibration, he stopped, looked back at me, and ran toward me. That was my first experience with this collar, and since then, we’ve enjoyed many hikes and walks in the wild with no worries. I know he’ll come back as soon as he hears the sound or feels the vibration. This collar really works. I highly recommend it to anyone with a new or untrained dog.

Update 90 days later: lowered to three stars instead of four, however this is still a decent collar, but there's a slight design flaw. The on/off switch is on the inside of the power unit so that it presses against the dog's neck and will occasionally turn off because it doesn't take much pressure to turn the switch off. Other reviewers have talked about the unit stopped working, and I'm inclined to think it's because the on/off switch was inadvertently turned off by the dog maybe playing around with another dog. It's not worked 4 different times for me and three times it was because the switch had been turned off and once because it was out of power. I can also confirm that the collar is waterproof as advertised as long as the rubber cover is over the charging port. My dog got out, went to play in the canals, was soaking wet and the collar still worked. Bought this looking for a lightweight device with reasonable distance ~ 3000 ft over flat land. This looked like it might fit the bill. It's lightweight all I need is the beep and the buzzer. I don't need the shock feature and previously I have used pet trainer brand that work great except it was really heavy My dog's only 45 lb. I can see what people might have a problem with the shock on this because you have to add sort of a u/v shaped aluminum extender to the prongs that actually touch the dog. When I looked at it, it looked like something you would put on the wall to tie the excess cord up from a blind or a rope but no it's supposed to shock the dog. It's the first time I've ever seen anything like that and it seems kind of weird. And I believe it might explain why people have problems with the shock part of this collar. So far the beep and the buzz works just fine The distance is reasonable, I'm still checking the battery life if it's bad or the distance is not true I'll come back and update my review with the three star instead of four. If you're looking for the shock feature I would stay away from this and try one that doesn't require some sort of weird shock extender device
