In 2009 I got routine Y gastric bypass surgery. At the time, I was told to chew up my food so much that I could push it through my teeth. I learned that no matter what I did I could not eat Steak. Last month for health reasons I decided to follow a carnivore diet. Eating Steak is highly recommended. When I watched people eating large quantities of steak I started to crave Steak. Unfortunately no matter how much I chewed and cut up meat it still caused severe gastric obstruction. I do not give up easily! So I bought the ALTRA LIFE meat grinder and wola I ate a steak. I got the taste of the steak, I got the health benefits of eating the steak, and it was so easy. I recommend this product for older people, gastric bypass patients and children. ( Consult with your pediatrician) You'll see amazing results.

This is a good choice of meat grinder - VERY EASY TO USE & CLEAN, not too big to put on a counter, & it's really grinding well. I would have given it 5 stars, BUT there are missing parts in the 1st, 2nd, & even the 3rd one.. I really like it though, that's why I replaced, returned, and bought another, thus the 3rd (if you understand - - didn't know about this process either til I did it). Despite the inconvenience, I am just happy that Amazon is very accommodating.

Works fine just very very noisy. Also you can’t even get a decent size bowl under the thing to catch the ground up meat. It’s too low. The bowl has to sit at an angle. Other than that it’s very powerful and the meat went right thru the hopper with no problems . Update! It shouldn’t take rocket signs to put on the grinder arm. Apparently, if you don’t have it perfectly lined up, you can’t get it on and I’m going on a half hour trying to get the stupid thing.. once I’m done making my raviolis. This thing is going in the trash.

Very satisfying

I absolutely love this meat grinder and sausage maker. I have been wanting one for years. It's fast and easy to clean. It's still new to me but I ground up some chuck roast and brisket cuttings that I had in my freezer. I can't wait to start combining meats for unique flavors. Plus I have a sausage recipe that I have been wanting to try for years. So far I'm very happy with my Altra meat grinder. I think it sells for a great price, well worth it.

I was kind of iffy about this purchase due to the mixed reviews. My husband has used it plenty of times and is VERY happy with it. The multi tools are all good quality and user friendly. I would recommend. Great product for a great price.

I looked at a lot of grinders quality , and price factored in and this unit works great. I cut all my pieces into 4" x1/2" and it grinds flawlessly and no mess. Cleans up very easily and its got a strong motor. It does start to heat up on sides if you leave machine on for about 2 minutes or more but I always turn off and cut some more meat then continue. Works great for what I needed for venison.
