This is a fun version of Cluedo, particularly if you have teenagers who like to be a bit more mischievous when playing games. Whilst you still have to tell the truth when asked by another player to show one of the 3 cards they are looking for, the liar element of the game comes in to play directly after your go, and if you’re a good liar you can wangle another go straight away! The additional element to this game is a pack of ‘Truth’ and ‘Liar’ cards. You have to pick one of these cards after your turn from a pile face down on the table (so no-one else knows what card you have picked). Directly after your go, you have to read out loud from this additional card. Some cards are ‘Truth’ cards and will legitimately allow you another go, but the majority of cards are ‘Liar’ cards, and they give you three options on how to get another turn and therefore more info out of other players! You HAVE to read one option from this card, whether you’re a good liar or not, so you have to convince the other players that you are holding a ‘truth’ card. If they catch you out as a liar, you have to show everyone else one of your cards....! I’ve learnt a lot about how good my teenage sons can be at lying, while playing Cluedo Liar! I bought this on Amazon for £10 cheaper than in the shops! It’s a good fun game, but at £15 rather than £25.

Took a while to understand but enjoyed by the family and played regularly

Bought because regular Cluedo is 3+ players and there's only ever 2 of us who want to play, but this version is for 2+ players, so I bought it. After playing it, I realised it's really not that different from the original version: you could play that with 2 players for the same sort of gameplay. 3+ players is still much better. The Ghost of Mrs White cards add a tiny bit of difference (though we only seem to use her once or twice per game), and the rolling of 2 dice helps the game move along faster. All in all, good game, and £10.99 was a very good price.

You don’t have to be a Potter fan to enjoy this game, but you’ll get more out of it if you are! I really like the way the board has been designed - it spins with each turn to keep the game fresh. And there are nice touches that bring Potterworld into the Cluedo framework. We actually played this game as four adults. The Cluedo element plays out as you expect. One tip: once the culprit,”weapon”,location cards are taken out of the deck, it’s best to deal out the rest of the cards - and crucially, reveal to all any leftovers. It just makes it fairer to all players - especially young ones. We really like it!

Very happy with my purchase and the fact that there’s a twist in this version which should make it more fun. I haven’t used it yet but it’s well packaged, fairly priced and the delivery was swift. I love board games. Just need to make the time to use it. When I do I will come back and make a more thorough review.

My family LOVES Cluedo, but this just takes it to a whole new level and makes the game way harder than usual! It is absolutely amazing and tons of fun! I would 100% recommend this to any Cluedo lovers or Harry Potter lovers!

Purtroppo il gioco è tutto in inglese e quindi inutilizzabile per mio figlio. Non era esplicitato nella presentazione di Amazon. Il pacco è stato aperto perché era un regalo e quindi non è stato possibile renderlo. 30 euro buttati...e soprattutto delusione del bambino

Io ho acquistato questo gioco vedendo dalle foto che era quello originale,oggi 28/01/2025 é arrivato il gioco ed é in inglese,ci sono meno carte. Dalle foto sembrava quello originale invece no.
