Matthew: The Coming of the King (MacArthur Bible Studies)

This book of Matthew is just what I needed for a Bible study. I prefer books that allow for note taking and reacting to questions asked. This type of format allows me to get a better understanding of the concepts of the Bible. I actually purchased the study book of Matthew by 3 of my favorite Christian authors. That way I can compare the thoughts of the authors.

I enjoyed this study SO much; what an excellent tool for deeper understanding. I highly recommend it. Even though I have the kindle version I’m buying the physical book.

Explains many of the verses in each chapter with references to other verses as well. It is a good add to my study Bible and other sources in leading a Bible Study on Mathew. Those of us who teach need many resources and this one is helpful to the extent mentioned.

Got this to help me dig deeper spiritually and help me read Bible more. And it’s been about few weeks and I’m almost done with the whole Book of Matthew. Can’t wait to start on Mark. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed this guide because it pointed out key word and phrases I never really examined before. The questions at the end of each section were great for discussion and taking an internal view of who Jesus is and who he calls us to be in accepting him as our Lord and savior as well as the effect it has on our daily life's. Will continue to read with this guide on to the book of Mark.

I love John MacArthur - he is an expert in Greek and has written an in-depth commentary on every book of the New Testament. We studied Matthew using this workbook in a neighborhood Bible study. The questions are excellent and thought provoking, and the commentary in the margins provides great additional information to enhance the study.
