Having used Sorry Mom’s tattoo balm for several years, I decided to try Stories & Ink’s Aftercare Cream and was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed. It’s noticeably lighter and less greasy than many other tattoo balms, yet still provides excellent hydration and protection for freshly inked skin. Application is simple and consistent. The cream spreads easily, absorbs much quicker than other brands, and leaves only a light finish - enough to protect the tattoo without that thick, oily feel some products leave behind. It’s particularly effective on larger tattoos, as it covers well and washes off the hands easily afterwards, without the need for heavy scrubbing. In terms of healing, it performs superbly. It helped to keep the skin calm, reduced itching, and supported an even, smooth healing process without clogging pores or leaving residue on clothing. The light, natural formulation feels gentle and clean, making it suitable for daily use over extended healing periods. The packaging is stylish and practical. The matte tube looks great on a shelf, and it’s compact enough for travel or storage in a bathroom cabinet. The only small drawback is the screw-top design, which can occasionally misthread if you’re in a hurry. A snap-lid closure would make it even easier to use, particularly when applying the cream multiple times a day. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-priced aftercare product that feels carefully formulated for both comfort and effectiveness. It’s become my go-to choice for new tattoos, and a product I’d happily continue to use long term.

All tattoo artists need to recommend this to their clients for a brand new fresh tattoo for the first week, seriously its amazing! When i got my sleeve i used Palmers coco butter and it was not good at all, way too thick. This time i used Stories and Ink and from day 1 my tattoo felt calm, less irritated, less sesitive, and healed quicker and better. Perfect consistency, quick and easy to apply, you really cant go wrong. Highly recommended for a new tattoo.

I got my first tattoo recently and felt very paranoid about the healing process. I wanted to make sure that I used something gentle and effective for healing my tattoo. I bought these as I saw a lot of good reviews online. And it did not disappoint. It helped my tattoo heal so nicely and I have plenty left over to use for my next tattoo. The wash is gentle and foams up really nicely, does not hurt to use on a fresh tattoo. The cream was perfect. Didn't have a strong smell and melted into the skin nicely. Did not leave a strange residue. The value for money was really good. As I still have plenty of product even after using it for 2 weeks multiple times per day. My tattoo is now pretty much healed and I partly attribute that to stories and ink. Definitely will look into more of their other products for sure.

The item arrived on time and packaged well but unfortunately the wash had leaked as the lid wasn't screwed on tightly. It's a foaming wash that didn't irritate my skin however I could have probably just used any fragranced wash so I wouldn't buy this again. Having said that the after care cream is excellent, the skin feels soft and protected all day and it's so good I've been using it on my eczema and dry hands too. I will continue to buy the aftercare cream, not just for tattoo care but for dry patches of skin. Worth the purchase and I'd recommend the cream.

Brought this in a hurry if I’m honest because I was out of my old aftercare. People use bepanthen or moisturisers or whatever. I have sensitive skin and have to be careful. If you use the wrong one you get ink bleed etc etc. This was a full colour tattoo so I wanted to ensure it remained the best it could be. Colours stayed vibrant, it prevent the itch to a degree I’m assuming from the moisturising elements and a little goes a long way. It looks expensive, but so are tattoos I’d say this is the best you can buy!

Quality product very good cream does the job

This stuff is brilliant. I was finding that I was having skin reactions to other brands I have tried mainly in a balm form. I thought it would give this a go on my sleeve we are chipping away on as it’s lighter and not as pore blocking as a really oily balm and doesn’t build up on the skin. I was incredibly surprised that not only is it super gentle and easy to apply, but it kept my skin hydrated for much longer than the balms had. Only needing applying 3x a day with a brand new fresh tattoo. It’s well worth being a slightly more expensive product comparatively, and the style of tube keeps it clean and fresh if used for multiple tattoo sessions. Could not say better things about this stuff it’s really my go to product now. It doesn’t have a particular scent other than the base ingredients but I prefer that over a heavily scented item. Very pleased and will absolutely recommend and repurchase.

I got this in preparation for a large arm tattoo, it keeps my tattoo so well moisturized I only need to use it 2 times per day. It has no scent, is very creamy and thick. When I apply it to my fresh tattoo it does not sting like some other brands I have tried. The tube is a good size, not huge but a little goes a very long way. I will definitely use this again. I even like to use this on my hands when they're very dry it is so effective at moisturizing.

I’ve been using this for my new tattoos instead of the dial soap. This is ideal and very skin soothing. I don’t detect any scent. Very high-quality not oily. I have very sensitive skin and this has been terrific.

I literally cannot possibly say enough about how amazing this product is. I just recently got my very first Tattoo after years of being too nervous to get it done. It was a deeply meaningful tattoo that had to be done in two sessions and three or four days after the first session. I thought there was no way I was gonna be able to finish it. It didn’t hurt while I was getting the tattoo it didn’t hurt while it was healing. Turns out I have an even higher threshold for pain than I thought because even the tattoo artist was amazed that I never even flinched But the itching as it was healing was driving me insane and I did not think I could go through it again. Out of desperation late one night I googled solutions and found this product two days later when the product arrived it immediately calmed the itch friends and family of mine who have dozens of tattoos regularly commented in admiration of how quickly and nicely my tattoo was healing. Even my tattoo artist with over 20 years experience was amazed at how quickly I went from miserable to comfortable and how beautifully this cream helped my Tattoo heal faster. Fast-forward to a couple weeks ago. I finally got the tattoo colored in, this time the minute that it started to heal I put the cream on. I’ve had not one moment of discomfort, in spite of all the color shown in this picture being done in the last session and again everybody is in awe of how beautifully it is healing how well the cream helped with all the peeling. I’ve already purchased the moisturizer to start putting on when the last little bit finishes peeling, and the tattoo is completely healed. I now know that I can confidently go back for all the other artwork that I want and not worry about any problems due to this product line. Stories and Ink, you have found yourself a lifelong customer and I will be telling everyone I know.

Absolutely amazing. I will never use anything else. Healing time cut in half instead of using aquaphor or Vaseline. Not sticky, smelling nor does it stain your clothes.
