My biggest problem with this “lip oil jelly” (why is it called that btw it’s literally just lip gloss) was the scent. It lacks any scent and if anything has a bit of an unpleasant musty smell, which to me is a huge kind of unforgivable oversight when it comes to a beauty product that goes right underneath your nose, also I feel like ESPECIALLY for lip gloss one of the staple draws of why we wear lip gloss is for that little burst of some pleasant scent, strawberry or flowers or SOMETHING, like how is a lip gloss not going to be scented I actually can’t get over that, I was SHOCKED when I first applied it. Now, on to the wear length. When I bought it, I was looking for a good Fenty gloss alternative, something less expensive with that same bombshell super juicy shine and staying power. This gloss does last, unless you’re eating or sipping from a cup or something like that, similar to most glosses although I have to say Fenty by comparison resists from disappearing while eating a little better than than Tower 28. There’s also no plumping power (which I knew it would not have but thought it’s worth mentioning), no tackiness, and it’s not thick—much more liquidy than I was expecting, all things I miss from my beloved thick Fenty gloss, so I will be finishing this Tower 28 tube and promptly going back to Fenty forever. As for the color, I actually love it. I got XOXO which was a leap of faith as a brown skin girl that doesn’t wear lip liner. I have shied away from highly tinted gloss in the past bc as someone who doesn’t wear makeup I don’t want to just have a random bright color on my lips and nothing else on, but this ratio of color to sheerness I think complimented me despite the color being very bright, and I think it’s formulated in a way that many different skin tones will go well with it.

Doesn’t give you that white lip gloss line.
