Great Starter
This teleprompter works very well and has a quality build, with a few exceptions.Issues:• The darkbox has thin (thickness) zipper banding that allows light to pass through it. In some cases this allows light to come through the image if there are lights behind the prompter. It also feels like the zipper would be the first thing to break if you were to pack this up and move it around (a suggested use case given the included storage / transport box).• The display tray doesn't squeeze a display (it locks in place but doesn't apply pressure) so if this prompter were mobile (maybe on a shoulder rig or dolly) the display could slide out the side. This could be improved with some cushioning foam to grip the display.Features• The prompter has a mostly metal construction• The adjustable pull out display tray is fairly rigid and doesn't limit the horizontal display size (I'm using a ProArt [PA148].)• There are mounting shoes in the front and sides of the prompter which could hold lights or a microphone.• The camera height and distance is adjustable (fits my A7 IV with a Sigma 24-70.)• There are multiple locations for mounting a tripod plate to the bottom, which allows for balancing the prompter.Tip:If you want to use this as an external display (wired to a computer) you'll have a horizontally flipped video by default. To fix this, I used OBS Studio (which is free) to 'Window Capture' the content that should be on the prompter, flip it (Right click 'Source' > Transform > Flip Horizontal), and then project it (Right click 'Scene' > Fullscreen Projector (Scene) > select the prompter display).

All Metal Construction, Complete, & Easy to Assemble
This is the teleprompter that I was looking for to complete my studio. It is well built and lightweight. Very clear resolution from the screen and no interference with the camera recording. I use a Sony ZV-E10 with a Sigma 16mm lens and it first into this teleprompter perfectly. I don’t know how the Neewer software works as I use Prompt+ on my iPad and just reverse the view in the app. It lets me then use voice scrolling and everything works seamlessly. Great value for the price!

Easy to use and low cost
This is a fantastic piece of gear. I was tired of taping notes onto something just out of shot and hoping I wasn’t looking over too much. The hardware was easy to set up and the software and remote work like a champ, letting me speed up or slow down as I want. Follow the directions and it’s almost silly simple. To get my short scripts or notes over I usually email them to myself and then copy & paste into the teleprompter app that comes with this. There are other ways to do it, and that’s been easy enough for me.If you want an inexpensive and quality teleprinter with a simple to use remote, this is what you’re looking for

Works great but has a design flaw.
Works great! Only issue is my camera wants to pickup my iPad in my camera shot, because the iPad sticks out too far. The tray your iPad is in needs to be lower to stay out of your camera shot. I had to not use the tray and just set my iPad on my desk to keep it out of my shot.

Trusted brand. No comparison.
I think I’ve invested in the NEEWER brand, I think it’s time for a sponsorship deal, lol!

Frustrating!
This is the most frustrating piece of equipment for creating videos. They need to make a built in monitor that just adapts to a photo or camera at the end of the lens. This thing is frustrating to put together, it’s frustrating to use! It’s frustrating place a telephoto zoom lens on it. It’s frustrating to try with a wide angle lens. It’s overall pretty bad and frustrating. When you get it set up, just leave it set up because the Velcro will eventually start falling apart if you take it apart and put it back together. Overall terrible design and value for money. Terrible functionality and it messes with my video quality.
