The item seems to work just fine. I plugged it into the cleaning & Charging base and it seems to work. I have not had it long though, so I cannot comment on the life of the product.

They are lying. This charger will not charge a Braun 5517 trimmer. 8 hours charged- dies in 30 seconds. You’ll know it’s the wrong charger when your flashing green light is very faint instead of bright. This is the second one I’ve sent back. Why are they lying about it???
