Hopeful First Impressions
Okay so before I start on the cream itself, I had to begin with commenting on the packaging, because wow - I felt like I was unpacking a large jewelry box or something lol. They do a really beautiful job with it, from the rose gold embossed box to the beautiful instruction card that feels like a wedding invitation, they really make the process of receiving this feel so special and pampering. Then the container of the product itself is such a statement- the blue holder feels solid and heavy and it looks so good on my counter. As far as the cream, I just received this recently so I am doing a first impressions review rather than a long form test. With that said, this cream feels really nice. It melts super well into my skin. It dries feeling slightly tacky but I feel like thatās the case with most eye creams Iāve tried and it seems like it needs to be that way to lock in the moisture - or thatās what I figure. It isnāt scented but it has a tiny, basic cream type scent that does smell nice. I got a little off this in my eyes by accident and although it wasnāt fun it didnāt irritate as much as I thought it would which I appreciate. So this seems like itās a nice, gentle cream. Iāve done a bit of research on this brand and they appear to have rave reviews so Iām hopeful Iāll see positive results as well. Iāll be happy to update this review further into the future once/if I see any worthwhile results!Edit: The next morning after using this, I noticed weird dry redness in my under eye area - which is weird because I'm not usually sensitive to creams. The next morning I used this cream again, and I didn't notice anything bad this time - but I'm still kind of cautious now with this, as I'm not sure what that was about. Maybe I used too much? I dunno.

Lovely Set, Strong Formula
I like to try different products and I have used skincare routines by quite a few brands including Chanel and Dior. This is my first time using Augustinus Bader though I'm not unfamiliar with the name. I really cannot understand some of the other reviews against the packaging. The complete set comes with a cup that you keep and reuse for future refill replacements. I think it's lovely and looks nice displayed in my powder room. This is important to me also because I do not like storing my face care items out of sight. I like them easily reachable so I appreciate this aesthetic detail. The product itself is a medium thickness so it's not runny but it spreads easily with a light silky texture. This greatly reduces waste. I started out using a full pump that I shared between both eyes. This was too much for me and the niacinamide too intense. However, I adjusted how much I was using and it became more comfortable. A quarter to half pump seems to go a long way for me. I am only putting this on at night as I found it to be drying and itchy under my makeup.Visually, the skin around my eyes is definitely brighter and plumper in the morning. I've also been using this on dark spots (pregnancy) beside my eyes and it really seems to be lightening those areas in just a week of use. I haven't seen a huge difference in fine lines yet but I also have not been using it long enough to make a judgment on its effectiveness for that. The formula is gentle if the right amount is used and the scent is refreshing, very light and does not linger.Augustinus Bader is excellent quality and I plan on purchasing other skin care products to try. I think as with anything, you have to find what works for you. I believe this is a very nice product in beautiful packaging. If after I use it more and it indeed reduces fine lines, I would purchase this again.

A FORTUNE OF $$$$$ and I am seeing NO IMPROVEMENT!
Not worth the expensive packaging ..... WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!This is one very expensive product and as soon as it arrived I figured out why.The eye cream is useless - and the packaging is RIDICULOUS - from a consumer perspective - it is just window dressing - and I get it - the packaging was created to keep the eye cream cool -It does NOTHING - cool - room temperature - I would rather have a product that works than polute the environment with extraneous packaging that does not add value - sorry :( and I was soooo hopeful that this would have been the ultimate in eye care ----- NOT!

Premium Eye Cream
Without a doubt this is a premium skincare brand and a lot of it is tied up in the gorgeous packaging. Itās heavy, refillable, recyclable, and the base (made of ceramic) can be use as a decorative holder down the road if you so choose. The nomad can be removed for travel.Augustine Bader is known specifically for their use of TCF8 which is a complex blend of natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins, and synthesized molecules naturally found in skin that helps awaken sleepy stem cells in our skin to repair damage. This cream also contains Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Pennywort, Arjun Tree Extracts, Seaweed Extracts, Vitamin B5, and Jojoba Oil.The cream is pretty thin and unscented. It does stay slightly sticky after patting around my eyes so I apply at night. Iāve noticed a slight increase in brightness and while I have it on, it does soften the appearance of my dry skin as any cream will do temporarily. The true test will come later down the road when my skin has recycled and this cream has had a chance to work its magic. Iām optimistic but not for miracles. Thereās only so much a cream can do on the surface.Yes, itās pricey. Itās not likely I can afford to repurchase unless I am mistaken for someone 20 years younger - then I will make it work š. But if you are looking for a high-end skincare brand that looks great on your shelf and can possibly reduce some signs of aging, AND money is no object, this is a good choice.
