I've stopped shaving as much as possible since high school because it is so ineffective. You shave, and you still see black bumps from the hair you went over, or the next day or two it already looks like a week passed. So I've tried waxing, and liked it, except you need to keep buying wax and it's a lengthy process to do and also clean up after. And even then there's many stray hairs to remove. I've plucked hairs individually with tweezers because I have the most control and can get every single hair I see, but this takes unbearably long. I've been hesitant to buy epilators because of mixed reviews, but this is the best purchase I've made since sliced bread. I barely feel any pain, less than individually plucking, and it is 30x more efficient. I can get hairs on the back of my shins even though I don't see it. I used it on dry skin, and I did not find it to be painful. It feels like tiny zapping because the hair roots are being pulled out- it is almost like pulling out a hair from your head, but less pain. NOTE: - It does leave red bumps for a few hours because the the roots of the hairs have been pulled out, but it disappears afterwards leaving you with smooth skin. - The knee has very thick skin and require a lot of force pulling certain hairs out, so you may need to go over that region by hand, but otherwise the rest of the skin becomes about 96% hair free. Better than waxing results. - With any kind of hair removal, make sure to moisturize the area. I like to use oil because our skin absorbs oil very well, and the fat in oil is very good and nourishing to the skin. (Even kitchen olive oil is suitable if you don't have any specifically for skin). OVERALL: I really really recommend this product for anyone wanting to remove hair on legs. (Other areas probably work well too, but I have just done legs so far) ****UPDATE**** It works really well in other areas too. Underarms are surprisingly not too bad and take about 5 min or less per arm!! Hair around lady area is definitely more sensitive, but I don't find it too bad. The cleaning process of the epilating machine parts is so quick, simple and easy. Downsides: hair pulled from the epilator will fly down wherever you are epilating, so you might have to sweep the floor or wipe the area where the hairs fell from epilating. But it's not like it flies many feet away, just about a foot radius around you, so I would just be careful not to do it on a carpet lol. Also obviously pulling hair is a bit painful so be wary of that, especially in sensitive areas. I find it less painful than getting sugared however. That's it! Nothing else I found against it!

I was honestly a little scared to try an epilator for the first time. I had always shaved, but I was getting tired of how quickly the hair would grow back sometimes in just a day or two. At first, it was a little painful, especially on more sensitive areas like the underarms. But I had already read that it would get easier, and it’s true after a few passes, I got used to it. The device is easy to handle, and I love that it comes with different attachments, which made the whole experience more comfortable. I used it on my underarms and legs, and I was genuinely shocked at how smooth my skin felt afterward. It’s been several days and there’s still no hair, which is something I’ve never experienced with shaving. I also didn’t get the usual irritation or razor bumps, which is a big win for me. What I loved: Hair-free for days (no stubble the next morning!) Less skin irritation than shaving Once you get used to it, it’s quick and easy Feels like an investment for long-term results What to expect: It can sting a bit the first few times, but it’s tolerable Works best on hair that’s not super short or super long Use it after a shower and exfoliate first, it helps! Final Thoughts: This epilator completely changed my hair removal routine. I never thought I’d find a product that gives me smooth skin for this long without the hassle of daily shaving. I 1000% recommend it for anyone tired of shaving or looking for a better long-term solution. It’s officially part of my routine forever!
