So, I bought this kit to replace my UV light that I had gotten from Sally’s Beauty Supply years ago. It is more on the cheaper side, but for sure gets the job done.I always make sure I wash my hands before I begin, then clean my nail beds by wiping them with rubbing alcohol on a paper towel to make sure all oils are removed. This helps with the base coat adhering. I also use the rubbing alcohol after my final top coat to remove the stickiness.I had no problem with curing each coat with the light. The light was never hot and didn’t burn me if I got some on my cuticles. This for sure has happened to me at a nail salon. The nail colors are lighter compared to the stickers on the bottles, but I have found the same issue with other brands as well.So far so good. I’m one day in and they still look great! If anything changes, like some of the other reviews, I’ll certainly post a follow up. And you will for sure need an extension cord. The cord is way too short. Crazy, bc who wants to sit on the floor by their outlet to paint their nails??? Silly. All in all it’s worth my $40 spent to get a decent Gel Manicure. Just hope the light lasts and the polish stays on longer than a few days.

During Covid in 2019 we got gel kits for home for something to do. These are easy. There is a base, your colors, and a top (matte or shine). Lots of color variety. It has saved so much money on polish. We mostly do toes. When my daughter played sports she wanted nice nails but they get chipped. This was no big deal vs when she ruined paid manicures. I do recommend watching some YouTube. We got hints like clean with rubbing alcohol before and in between UV light. It gets rid of oil and residual unset materials. Thin to win…better to do multiple thin coats. Too thick and the light doesn’t penetrate so it won’t last as long. Get the good acetone for removal. She has done many many uses. Still has plenty of polish and the light is working great!

I have never tried gel nails nor do I get manicures. So take this review as an amateur trying something new. I’m ok at painting my nails but I just don’t have time for painting and waiting for it to dry these days. I work at a plastics manufacturing job and have a 3yr old. This is a life changer! I was impressed at how fast it dried and it really is dry. I only did one nail just to test it out and make sure I’m not sensitive to the light or have an allergic reaction to the nail polish. I love the color and I think it’s the perfect beginner kit. People complain about the small amount in the polishes but it’s perfect for seeing what you like and then buying the colors you really want. I would hate to have 30 full bottles of colors I didn’t like.I now have a new favorite thing to do on the weekend again.

I only used a couple of colors but tried a few others with just a nail. They all had what looked like hair or strings in them. It was quite disappointing. The packaging is lovely. The extras were too even though I don't know how to use those white half moon stickers. I know what they're for but didn't work for me and then recently the lamp stopped working. It took a lot longer to dry the nails and the polish would then peel. The lamp itself gets power but the light won't come on. So now I can't use any of it because it's all LED light based.

Lemme just start by saying — I never write Amazon reviews, but this nail kit deserves it. For years I have been sick and tired of spending $80+ to get my nails done only to walk out of the salon completely disappointed from having my cuticles cut and bleeding, polish missing most of my nail and the sides, or it chipping off the second I leave. Tonight I gave myself the cheapest yet quickest, most convenient, thorough, and beautiful manicure I’ve ever had! (And I am not the patient perfectionist type either — I usually hate doing my own nails). But this kit made it so simple and easy and gave an absolutely beautiful finish. I had no mess-ups and both hands took maybe 20 minutes?? I’m writing this review not even an hour later so I can’t say for sure on how long it lasts, but I can tell you I’ve already cleaned the house and done dishes and laundry and I have NO chips in the paint so that’s a wonderful sign. I’m so excited for this kit and to save SO much money this year on doing my nails at home!!

Original: 572 is the longest lasting color I have tried so far. 044 is a nightmare. It is thin and therefore I need many layers but that a problem is that it bubbles for some reason and peels off. It’s also hard to keep this paint color neat as it spreads and gets all over my skin. The UV machine is high-quality and this kit is great but none of these colors are pink or gray. And smaller brushes are needed to apply them well. I have one nail of the 572 collar that hasn’t peeled off for about 2 1/2 weeks. But the rest of them peel off after a day or two – one week. I tried three colors so far. The matte finish burns a little for a few seconds when I go to dry it. Sometimes it hurts a little. But know, there is a little bit of a learning curve to figure out how to use them in a way that they will stay on your nails. And every color has a different personality. 732 bubbles as well.Last thing: all of these bottles are .28 fluid ounces including the base and topcoat which is half the size of a normal nail polish bottle which is .45 fluid ounces. The worst thing is that the base and topcoat have to be used every single time and there is not enough of it to support all of these nail polishes.Update: this machine gave me second-degree burns. Burn bubbles formed underneath my nails and around my cuticles.
