Works Great For Night-Time Mouth Taping
Mouth taping has become a consideration for people who mouth breathe during sleep. At first, I thought it sounded a bit strange, but no longer. This tape works great. It stays on, doing the job. No more dry mouth in the morning, and probably much healthier sleep. This obviously requires unobstructed nasal breathing. I'm sure this product is also great for any medical-related adhesive tape needs.

Good mouth taping tape
Works well for mouth taping at night (mouth breather). Just make sure you don’t have anything greasy on your lips or where you are taking your mouth shut. It will stay on all night! More cost effective than buying tape actually designed for this purpose.

Great for Sensitive Skin and Areas
I use the Nexcare tape for nighttime mouth taping and it seems to work rather well! It has medium to strong hold and is pain-free when being removed. I do notice that if your skin has any moisturizer, serums, or similar products on, it will not adhere to the skin so it is important to keep the area dry before applying the tape. It is silicone based, not latex. I wear this tape nightly and have found that it doesn't slip, even through regular tossing and turning. As mentioned, I use this tape for mouth-taping. Considering the mouth is a highly mobile area, I am impressed that the Nexcare tape does not lose it's adhesion or hold over 8 hours. This product offers 4 yards of tape and it seems to last quite a while for what I use it for. The tape is not meant to be ripped so it needs to be cut. It is easy to cut, so there is a lot of freedom regarding the size and shape of tape for your needs. I have extremely sensitive skin and this tape does not aggravate the delicate skin around my mouth. There is no residue left behind after using this tape and I have never had my skin turn remotely red in any capacity. This is a huge bonus as I am very careful with the health of my skin. Not only is there no residue left behind on my skin after using the Nexcare Strong Hold Tape, but there is no 'bandage line' going around the perimeter of where the tape used to be. It's as if it were never there in the first place! I'd highly recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin who wants pain-free bandage removal every time.

Great tape!!
This is the first tape I’ve used for taping my mouth at night and it worked well! I noticed my sleep was much better and felt deeper than usual and I woke up feeling more restored. Sometimes I struggle with staying asleep or getting out of bed and this in combination with other things was a great addition to my nighttime routine. It doesn’t leave residue on my face as far as I’m concerned. That being said, if you moisturize before using this, it will not stick. Also, if you spray tan or have any on your face, it’ll take that baby right off in the morning. So keep that in mind in case you don’t want to end up with a pale rectangular patch on your face. It feels gentle enough to be on the skin without being flimsy.

Nexcare vs "X" style individual tape strips
I've been using the plastic "X" style tape for over 1.5 years and switched to Nexcare 3 weeks ago. I like it so much more than the individual X tapes. I highly recommend trying out Nexcare as mouth tape while sleeping. Cost: This is a no-brainer. The plastic "X" style tape strips individual tape strips are very expensive. Nexcare is cheap *and* the roll looks like it's going to last a very long time. Ease of use: Nexcare is on a roll and can be easily torn with fingers alone. The edge of the roll is easy to find and pull up because the tape has a little bit of thickness. So, getting a piece just before sleeping is quick and easy. The plastic "X" style tape strips require some fidgeting with the paper or plastic that the strip comes on, and I almost always ended up bending a corner of it onto itself. Feel: Nexcare is soft to the point where I forget it is on my lips at all. The stiff plastic "X" style tape strips are not very comfortable and could make my lips a bit itchy at times. Reapplying: The Nexcare tape is super sticky and easy to apply and reapply -- I sip water about 2x per night. The X tapes did not stick as well after reapplying, but the Nexcare is just as good. Lip balm: I can also apply some lip balm to the corners of my mouth when needed after putting on the Nexcare tape, and only the edges of the tape lose their stickiness. When I tried that with the plastic "X" style strips, the entire tape would lose its stickiness almost immediately. Residue: Some reviews said they get a residue on their lips after taking the Nexcare off. I haven't experienced that. It's possible that some rolls have this problem and others do not. Or that it's very sensitive to heat, and that occurs after too much heat exposure. I'm only guessing, though. Customizability: Since you tear off a piece of Nexcare tape with your fingers, you can customize it to the perfect length for your lips. I only cover about an inch of my lips, so I could always breathe through the corners of my mouth while sleeping, if necessary (but this hasn't happened). The plastic "X" style strips are one size only. Trust: The companies that sell the plastic "X" style strips change all the time. I could never buy the same product twice (3+ months apart) because they would disappear, only to be replaced by another company and a different-looking product. Nexcare is made by 3M, which has been around for decades and is used in medical settings. I trust the ingredients of Nexcare much more because of that.

Beware!!! This is NOT a Suitable Mouthtape!
I bought this tape with the intention of using it as a mouthtape for sleeping. The reason I'm giving five stars is because it is not marketed as a mouthtape, and it is likely suited for the purposes it advertises. But this is a PSA for anyone who has been led to believe this is a good mouthtape. The tape does not adhere to the mouth at all. It is meant to be applied to a flat surface of skin, and it does not stay on over the mouth because the lips protrude slightly, making the surface uneven. The adhesive is also ineffective when it comes in contact with natural oils on the face and any moisturizer that is applied (if that's what you use). When I use this at night the tape either unsticks itself at one end because it can't accomodate the shape of my mouth, or it slides right off because my skin is not perfectly dry. For these reasons I suggest using a tape that is specifically designed for mouthtaping.

The tape might come loose; there should be slightly more stickiness!
