Great fan for kitchen exhaust. Highly recommend and would buy again.!
I made a custom exhaust fan for my kitchen and a 1960s mobile home. This thing blows and sucks, in a good way!!! I was so impressed by the ability of it to move air out of a room, I’m so happy with my purchase!! I use it as an exhaust fan over my gas stove for when I’m cooking and I couldn’t be happier!! it just works so well regardless of what size you purchase I purchased two sizes and they both are phenomenal!! it moves air quickly!!! I can’t explain how well it works. Words don’t do it justice. Highly recommended!! I’ve used it for the last six months and it works great

Second one worked fine
Had one already I used in the basement shop. Works fine. Ordered another for the other end of the room, but it was incredibly loud and really annoying and returned it. The replacement works fine now. It is loud enough to be noticeable, but if it sounds like you're standing under an airplane engine then return it.

Converted
I probably shouldn't review this as I re-configured as a ceiling fan using 10" to 6' reducer to an existing 6" duct pipe that led to the outside. Removed the damper spring so it would open all the way up but then both sides of the damper stuck together and closed to one side, fix that by putting a 1/2" spacer between the two half dampers on the up side so that they wouldn't stick together. Now it's works perfectly by gravity alone. For a wall installation as this was intended to be the damper doesn't open very far, I'd still alter the damper, two side together hinged from the top.

Great fan
Need a larger exhaust fan for a laser engraver/cutter. The fan that came with the cutter was a computer fan about 3inch DIA. And did not have the pull. This fan takes the smoke right out.

It works
Works great, use as a small exhaust fan on closed in porch for smoking.

Sucks
Sucks. And doesn’t suck that well. My smoke detector still goes off. Loud as hell too. Not a good design regarding exterior also as allows air to circulate in and out very easily. Big bummer.
