Pleasantly surprised with this umbrella for the price. Used it for a week-long beach trip, and it held up to some pretty brisk winds very well, even when I saw other umbrellas getting collapsed by the wind. The "ribs" on the umbrella are very sturdy, the fabric blocks the sun extremely well, and the sand bag does a very good job of holding it in place. I did learn that you have to fill it pretty full if the wind is strong. It did blow over one time when I had only partially filled the base. Only complaint is I wish the carrying bag had just a little more material to make it easier to put the umbrella back in. I don't expect this to last forever, but I'm please with the value thus far.

My first impression of this umbrella was its lightweight and compact size. It is only 4-feet long, fits easily in the trunk, and can be carried around without much effort. When we first tried it out in our backyard, we found it straightforward to set up. It actually feels pretty sturdy and stable regardless of its lightweight. With stripes of white and different shades of blue on the silky fabric, this umbrella is very beautiful to look at and very smooth to touch upon. While my wife marveled about its beauty and elegance, I was quite excited to find out about its many well-thought design ideas, including the 30-degree tilting function, the air vents on the top, and the sandbag on the base. These are all useful features that we did not expect to find in a beach umbrella. Both my wife and I love the umbrella, not only because of its look and feel, but also because it is well-constructed and it comes with so many useful features. Besides, the price is also very affordable. We would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a backyard or enjoys spending time on the beach.

Maybe we didn't bury it deep enough, but the plastic pole did not look sturdy in those strong winds. It was the perfect beach weather, but not for this umbrella despite all the hype for its ability to stay in the wind. The plastic looked shaky. Then, the button that angles got stuck, and the umbrella kept falling to the other side, which ended up providing little shade. It's also so difficult to pack up in the narrow little bag. I don't understand why they make the packaging so tight-fitting. I am thoroughly disappointed. My advice is to find something that can transfer more easily. Even though you have a shovel, once you've buried something in the sand, you don't want to have to unbury it and pick it up out of the sand. You could try loosening the top and twist the umbrella part to get the shade in the direction you need it, but again, the winds were strong, and I didn't want to risk struggling too much since I also have a bad wrist. That was why the adjustable angle was so appealing, but the button malfunctioned. Either way, it doesn't even matter because it was impossible to adjust by myself because the winds were too strong! I could tell it was previously used because of sunscreen or tanning lotion marks, but I couldn't have guessed that the button was broken. If you are still interested in buying this, absolutely ensure that you test it out at the beach before the refund period ends. Don't just try it at home. I wasted $65 for a poor experience. It seemed fine at home, but the umbrella was very difficult to adjust in the strong winds. Consider that you might not be strong enough or too bothered to take the effort to make it work; I would not have been able to adjust the angle by myself.
