Must read for anyone in a small business!
My husband and I run a small business, and we have a few employees. We were constantly finding ourselves doing EVERYTHING, and never getting anything done. It was so frustrating. We had a high turn-over of employees, and training was non-existent.My husband found this book at the library, and neither of us finished reading it before it had to go back. I bought it again for my Kindle. I hope to learn how to delegate responsibilites, reduce our turnover, and have employees that want to work! And, I am always ready to increase our profits! :)

Nice little book
Nice little book, it will not take much time to be read, informative, handy, okay to read, it could make you discover your own way of how to delegate since I don't believe that trying to replicate what is in this book could work for most part of readers.

my employees are happier to be taking on new projects for personal growth ...
That old saying, if you want something done right do it yourself....Well, this had become a problem for me at work not delegating to my subordinates and therefore taking on too much work. After implementing some of these techniques my work load has lightened up, my employees are happier to be taking on new projects for personal growth and my family is happier that I am not working as many long hours as I use to. I highly recommend reading this book if you are in a similar situation.

Very generic and frankly outdated book
I cannot recommend this book. The concepts described in the book are remedial (e.g., saying benefit of delegation is that you'll have more time), the practical tips are surface level (e.g., saying you'll improve your self-confidence by working out), and it's view of work is outdated (e.g., referring to people on your team as 'sub-ordinates').I appreciated the attempt to give practical steps and lay a foundation, but the substance is severely lacking. I think most people with any experience in the working world will not extract value from this book.

I loved this book
I loved this book!! I needed this advice 20 years ago! All this time I have felt guilty for "delegating" jobs to others instead of realizing I would be helping others. It's been hard for me to delegate orders and this book has given me power to start the delegation process! Delegating within your business helps others too. I want to build my business teams esteem and by delegating we are building just that. Excited to put into practice what i have read!! A+

Good read about Delegating.
It's a fairly quick read. I think it's something I could revisit after some time to see what I overlooked for the first time. Some of the ideas are presented simply but run quite deep in application.

Worst book I have read in a while
This 65 page book was pretty painful to get through. I kept waiting for some really good tips and tricks to delegation and ended up with nothing. Don't bother with this one.

Odd insights
While this book made some decent points, it also made some very odd statements (like saying you should joke about your insecurities, and gave the example of being short in stature), somehow showed political bias (indirectly calling president Obama aloof and arrogant), and had a number of typos and grammatical errors. From a high-level perspective, it gave good pointers, but it's definitely not a book to base your leadership skills off of.
