Love almost every aspect about this seat. Very comfortable and easy to lift to clean and wipe off.

First, the raised seat works on an elongated toilet bowl. The seat is supposed to attach to the bowl with the existing toilet seat in the up position. I am having surgery in the next couple of months and was looking for something so I did not have to ask for help using the bathroom, I was hoping this was it. It does work but the description is way off. What is wrong in the description is the following, there are no steel legs and they are not 14" because they are not there, it does not have soft foam armrests because they are not there and the description indicates a maximum weight of 150 lbs which contradicts the 600 lbs weight description. The center hole of the seat is smaller than I expected but I think a woman would have an easier time of it than a man...I think a man might have a harder time "tucking in" while trying to eliminate seated. The interior of the opening is 8" from side to side and 9 1/4" from front to back. Again, the seat works, it raises your bottom to a more comfortable height for getting up depending on your ability. When installing you must push the seat back as far as you can, there is a small lip that will catch the toilet bowl rim and then you can lock it into position. I would rock or check it to ensure a tight fit before use. It is compact and can easily be removed for other bathroom guests. It looks easy to clean as it is essentially a one piece unit.

I returned this item because it was defective. I really don't want to discuss all of the issues I had with using it to go to the bathroom. Ultimately, I went with the Big John toilet seat sold on Amazon (ASIN : B09YWRQ85W).

The locking mechanism is very nice, keeping the seat from shifting while in use. The mythical 17 inch legs however are another story. I can't really see the need for legs, so it didn't matter to me that they were missing. However, the seller should correct the listing so that it doesn't describe legs that aren't included. The weight the seat can reportedly hold safely is quite impressive, but I don't plan to test that out anytime soon! Other seats we have had, eventually cracked. I highly recommend this, but don't be counting on the legs described in the listing.

My grandma has carpet in her bathroom… like why?!?! But anyways the problem is I can’t get her just a normal raised seat because they all are built for hard flooring. So when I saw this and that it locked into place I was excited that I found one that would work for her. And I’m happy I did because this seat works great! It’s just high enough that my grandma can get on and off of it without much struggle. And the locking mechanism works surprisingly well, it holds the seat down and the lock isn’t super hard to turn even for my grandma. The seat is pretty comfortable as well. All in all no complaints here!
