I almost passed on this palette, as I was hesitant to buy a paint set manufactured in China. I also hesitated due to mention of dye. But, I liked the size, look of the colors and enjoy Kristy’s channel (especially her attitude about art) so I figured I’d give it a try. Worst case it could go on trips as a travel palette for journaling.When it arrived I was immediately impressed by the smart design. There’s tons of mixing space and it’s also super cute. Then I tried the colors. Wow! They are beautiful!! So smooth, vibrant and easy to mix. It’s exceptionally well thought out. I love it!! I swatched it and every color was great.Would this replace my extensive collection of Daniel Smith paints? No. But those have their place, as do sable brushes and Arches paper. This is a beautiful set that truly brings me joy. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll probably buy a second set to keep in a travel bag. These are affordable, high quality and support an artist who is very generous with her knowledge.

Kristi, You've Done GOOD Girlfriend!! This is a beautiful set of paints. Received it promptly and tried them out this morning. The Paint colors are amazing, even ones I did not know if I would use or like. They are vibrant and deep, easy to work with, great results in painting.I painted leaves like you show, free-flowing mixed colors and they all made their way to my heart. I'm not sure about the brown choice yet, (nothing personal, just not my favorite color in life), but I'll work on it and see if it grows on me, lol, or seems to show me what to do with it. Wonder how would I make it a more sepia for my use, one of my fav's.I loved putting the neon yellow into other colors once they were painted, as you once shared on a video, WOW it's amazing like you said.I'd like to gift this to my grandkids, but a bit pricey for a kid gift in my book lol, not sure they would appreciate the depth of the colors and/or paints value, though the better tools and equipment one has, the better the results. I would order again for myself or a seasoned painter that appreciates paint.I can only imagine the research and depth of manufacturing such an item. I'm hoping for 12 half pans you can bring your price point down at some time after beginnings have paid for themselves and great profits roll in. This is at my higher end price point of what I'd pay for a small paint set. Saying all that I bought because I'm a big fan of your YouTube videos and enjoy your beautiful heart and JOY, especially sharing painting! Thank you!Included in my gratitude are you paint brushes. I wish I had been here two years ago to comment but I was just beginning to recover from a complete cardiac arrest. I am still having trouble finding words but I am much much better than I was then. I have been using these lovely pigments for about two weeks now and I can say they really are lovely. Creamy and easy to mix. I have your brushes and love.love love them, they are nearly all I use. I am waiting anxiously waiting for your swatch kit. My reentry into art began with colored pencils and alcohol ink markers and swatching is expected there, so with probably 5000 pencils, 300 alcohol ink markers and who knows what else I have swatching practice. I am looking forward to using some of those cute graphics.

I love this color selection, and this set is fun to use. They are creamy, bright and lovely to work with. I keep reaching for these paints, i love bright colors and this palette is it. Im not an artist or whatever, and i dont plan to sell artwork nor are my paintings going on a wall at a museum.... I like collecting fun paints, and having a great time using them. I mean these really look great even when they dry. I have some cotmans from W&N and the student sennerlier paints and these are more like professional paints, in that they are pigminted, bright, and dont lose their vibrancy when it dries. I own legacy brand paints like W&N, Daniel smith etc. I like using these just as much as my favorite daniel smith paints. They work well and mix well, great paints in a very pretty palette! Get it, you wont regret it if you love bright colors.

I'm a true beginner. One who follows tutorials and then sighs when I look at my page. But I have A LOT of supplies, Daniel Smith, Winston Newton Professional, Holbein, WN Cotman's to name a few, and and Arches, Legion, Cranson Heritage and other high quality papers. So while I have high quality supplies, I am a beginner as far as knowing the ins and outs of the different brands and pigments and how they are "supposed" to react. So my review is based on how they work trying to follow simple tutorials and getting results I'm pleased with.I love this palette. These paints are super pigmented but easily sheer out with water. They lift well, rewet well and blend beautifully. I love how easy it is to just put a pop of a second color on a leaf or petal and see it blossom so beautifully. You may be saying, all professional watercolors should do that. In my beginner opinion, this set just does it better! Maybe because there are so pigmented. I kept buying expensive paper, expensive paints, expensive brushes trying to get the paint to flow better (especially in my dry Arizona climate), but this is just effortless. The colors mix so well too. First I was like, there's no true green. But there is a yellow green and a blue green teal. Just a quick dab on each and I have a perfect Hooker Green. And it's all the colors I want/need for the florals and botanicals I like to paint.I also bought her Free Spirited Watercolor Book. I'm so glad I did. The exercise are easy to follow and sometimes when you're new and need guidance, you just don't feel like watching a YouTube video for instruction! Very happy with these paints!
