What's not to love?
This is without a doubt the BEST budget cpu cooler you can get. It SIGNIFICANTLY reduces temps compared to the factory wraith cooler. It just plain works. My temps are much more regulated, the fan is surprisingly quiet (BeQuiet! is still quieter). Looks great, actually matches my stock case fans almost perfectly. Very easy to install, just torque down the bolts in a cross pattern. Overall, fit and quality is great. Love this thing.

Performs so much better than the Wraith Stealth and is Super Inexpensive!
The Thermalright Assassin X120 R SE is so good. It's inexpensive, isn't the most difficult to mount on an AM4 system, is quiet, and keeps temperatures super low while the CPU is under load. I installed mine onto a B450 board with a 5600G. Compared to the Wraith Stealth during a Cinebench R23 benchmark, 10-minute run, temperatures on average were 19+ degrees C cooler with the Thermalright Assassin X. The ARGB fan is nice and sturdy and while only 8-leds, it's plenty bright and very quiet at idle speeds. For the cost, the performance is out of this world. I'm unsure how well this cooler will perform on higher TDP CPUs (5600G is only 65W), but I definitely recommend it. I took a couple of stars off for the mounting system/ease of install as the brackets are a tad fiddley. I highly recommend installing the cooler before you put the motherboard into your PC Case. As I was replacing my cooler, my mobo was already installed, so it was a bit more difficult than I liked. Other than that, this is a great product for those looking to get better temperatures for not a lot of money! A+++

As good as high-end coolers but for 1/3 the price
I started hearing about Thermalright coolers on YouTube a few months ago. I wanted to replace a Wraith Prism cooler in an older computer I have so I decided to try one. Since it's not my primary computer I didn't want to spend very much. I shopped around and found the Assassin X120 Refined SE ARGB for less than $20! First of all, I don't know how they can sell these so cheap. Everything oozes quality, from the packaging, to the fan and heatsink itself. For $20 I expected it would just be thrown into a box with no padding. Wrong. It's packed very securely with lots of padding. Included are instructions and everything you need to install it, they even included the thermal paste! The instructions were very clear, making it one of the easiest CPU cooler installations I've ever done. The Assassin not only looks like it should be more than $20, it performs like it too. My idle temps (Ryzen 3700X) went from the 50ish degree range all the way down to 26-29 at 30% fan speed. Incredible performance for the money! The fan is also very nice with bright LEDs and isn't too loud. I'm blown away by this cooler. Thermalright has definitely won me over.

Only ever buying Thermalright again
I was on the fence about the Thermalright brand at first but after putting their products in multiple PCs I have come to find they offer the best value to price ratio out of any other company. Their fans are high quality. Very appealing design. They work EXTREMELY well. This cooler in particular is a great value. The argb is aesthetically appealing. It will cool your CPU without fail. It’s decently sized and fits well on AMD or intel platforms. It just works. I will only buy Thermalright products. Just ordered two of their 5 pack of argb fans tonight. It’s a great and high quality product, get yourself this cooler!!

Solid CPU Cooler
Before: Arctic Silver 5 paste, Wraith stock cooler, Ryzen 5600X Previous idle temps were around 60C and would reach 80-90 during load with Red Dead Redemption 2. Replaced the old paste and stock cooler with the Thermalright 120 and Arctic MX-4 and now my idles are averaging upper 30/low 40 and load with RDR2 averages upper 50s and some spikes into the low 60s. Greater than 20C degree reduction in CPU temps. The fan spins between 1500-1800 rpm on average and is pretty quiet. GPU fan is making more noise at this point. Installation wasn't too bad. Worst part would be screwing in the mount brackets for AM4 boards. Two of out the four plastic cylinder mounts wouldn't fit flush over the screw holes and the metal brackets were hard to hold in place while trying to screw it down. After that, installation was pretty simple. Functionality wise? 5 stars. Installation wise? 4 stars. Overall, 4.5 with a round up to 5. Note - The heatsink is pretty tall. Definitely check the dimensions before buying to make sure you can close your case.

Cools my ryzen 5 5600 at 4.3 ghz under load at ~80 degrees celcius, very happy with this, comes with all mounting hardware and some thermal paste, fan is very quiet and the ARGB is pretty good.
